Favoring party over country

I will NEVER shut up about republicans stealing elections by cheating.

That would be just letting you fuck our country to protect your party.

1) Yes I do and I find that to be abhorrent behavior. Do I want Obama's policy initiatives such as health care, cap and trade, not suspending the jones act to clean up the oil, trying to ban all drilling, ruining our alliance with england/israel, and bailing out big corporations with tax money to fail? Well of coarse I do. If those policies fail I feel it will be for the betterment of america. If those policies succeed I feel it will hurt my country and my fellow citizens.

2) Im not sure of any one in particular person that is doing this in order to "hurt america". Do you have anyone who you feel is doing this? maybe if you share one person it will give me a direction to put my thinking towards for you.

I dont want my president or my country to fail. I just want his fundamentally tranforming america policies to not be implimented.

You don't want America or our President to fail, just as long as he follows YOUR prescription...

So, the election and the will of We, the People is totally meaningless to you...ALL that matters is YOUR ideology and YOUR political beliefs. If our President's prescriptions FIX the problems, that is also totally meaningless to you...

"We the People", are not in favor of the job Obama is doing according to recent polls. Fix the problems? Wrong. He is a problem first off, then he has fixed nothing so far and he couldn't even fix his own Senate seat.

We, the People ELECTED Obama. Polls are NOT elections.

Bring on the NEXT pea brain utterance...

I often wonder about this when it comes to administrations that are particularly polarizing. This one and the last one especially.

It seems to me that opponents of Obama desperately want to see him fail, to have our country fall deeper into recession/depression, and lose ground in the middle east (the higher the US military death toll the better), all for the sake of acquiring political advantage entering into the next election cycle. And conversely, I saw the exact same sentiment spewing from the other side of the aisle during the Bush administration.

As much as this disgusts me, sentiment is one thing, actively trying to make it happen is another. So please consider and discuss the following:

1. Do you think that people in positions of real influence do indeed, actively try to sabotage and undermine the efforts of the current administration to the detriment of all Americans purely for political purposes?

and if so...

2. Who are they and what specifically do you think they do in their efforts to sabotage?

You people are putting party over country right now to defend the republicans stealing elections by cheating.

Its what the thread is all about

If IdiotDent keeps traveling the road he's on the Rep. aren't gonna have a problem taking the election, and this guy will cause a setback for the black man.

I have to disagree with you.

I don't like many of the policies of our current President. That being said, I do hope that the ones that are bad for this country (yes, in my point of view) fail. Because I believe that things like Health Care Reform are bad for this country and yes, I want it to be repealed.

I do not want the President to fail as a President, because that too will be bad for the country. I CAN and do pray for the success of President Obama yet hope that his policies that I believe are bad for America do not succeed.

If he is putting his presidency on the line with Health Care Reform and you all consider the failure of HCR as a failure of his presidency then I'm sorry for you, but I can pray for the betterment of this nation underneath his Presidency yet not pray for particular policies that I believe are wrong for this nation.

I found that out during the Bush Presidency. Initially I supported just about everything President Bush said and did... then came no bid contracts for Halliburton, The USA Patriot Act, NSA Wiretapping, the torture of prisoners and God alone knows what else. I found out that I could pray for my nation yet not approve of the President's policies.

I suppose it goes back even farther than that, because when Clinton was elected, I was adamantly opposed to him... by the time he left, I actually liked the man.

Immie

Honestly, that's just sad. You are a mirrored counterpart of the worst of the left. He's done a fine job so far considering the clusterfuck he volunteered to try to mend. You gave Bush and company the suspension of disbelief for eight long years. Our current administration should, at least, receive a full term to stanch the flow.
It is a mistake to think he didn't see this shitstorm coming. ANYONE who has paid attention to the economic indicators for the last 8 years saw this shit coming. Hell, I saw this shit coming, and I'm not the only one. Anyone who is poor, working poor, or clinging to the bottom rung of the lower middle class felt this LONG before it was acknowledged in the MSM. I've personally been screaming about it for the last 6 years.

Lets see.

The florida felons list was deemed illegal and florida was forced to stop using it because of Democratic filings in the court.

This list cost Gore the election.

Now when you people defend this florida felons list you put country over party

Of course you don't see any fixes. The Fox News propaganda you fill your little pea with will never tell you of any. They will even LIE to promote ONE party, and elect Republicans.

Vote caging is a practice which is used to challenge the validity of voter registrations. While it is important to purge voter rolls of people who have moved or died, vote caging is often used specifically to target minorities, youths, and people with inadequate education who may not be aware of their voting rights. The legality of vote caging is debatable, with some people arguing that it is a clear case of discrimination which should be illegal, while others argue that it is, at times, defensible.

Wow, so now this is something new, they WANT the Obama to FAIL.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean to imply that ALL opponents of Obama want him to fail.

However, based on the vitriol I've seen oozing from your posts, I'd definitely include you among those that do.

Just sayin...

say whatever you like, I definitely want the OBAMA'S and his comrades in Arms policies to FAIL. If I wanted to live in a Socialist-Communist country, I'd move to one.

So much for your belief in our system of government. If you want a one party totalitarian country move to one.

NO, it isn't.
Mani posted a very thoughtful OP, and while I agree with your point, that was NOT the point of the thread.
Misnomers like that not only make you seem kinda clueless, but they negate the point you try to make because it is not Germaine too the discussion at hand.
