Fairness

As Einstein noted, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is a sign of insanity.

Ergo, Social-Democrat Leftwing Lunatics really are nuts.

You are an absolutist, aren't you? You want a definite answer... well let me clue you in on something... there is no definite answer.

ROFL! So you admit you can't define it. Yet, you want the government to craft legislation based on it. What could possible more arbitrary or totalitarian than bureaucrats deciding according to their own personal whims what "fairness" means?

How do you propose for the government to implement something you can't explain?

You call it weaseling... I call it dynamic. When one side has too much power... the other side rebels. That is the makeup of our system... the founding fathers knew it, rational people know it. You, however... don't.

What does "having too much power" have to do with "fairness?" You're jumping from one nebulous undefined term to another.

Just admit that you haven't got a clue about any rational set of rules for government to follow.

1. Can you define it? go ahead, give it a shot.

2. Too much power has everything to do with fairness. If Socialists have too much power... entities like the Soviet Union take place. If the right gets too much power... Entities like the Taliban and Nazism has too much power.... it's a matter of balance.

I know... you are way too far into your own little box to understand that both sides rely on each other for regulation and balance... to you it's just "US" vs. "Them"

When I see that half of the workers in this country do not pay taxes, and some of them even get money from the gov't that they didn't pay in, it's kind of a hard sell to convince me the liberals want equal treatment under the law and equal opportunity in the marketplace. What they want is equality of outcomes, or as close to it as they can get.

They want to redistribute the wealth. No other way to say it, they want to take money from those who earned what they think is too much and give it to somebody else who hasn't earned it. Social democracy it's called, many countries in Europe have followed this policy for decades, and look where it's got them now. Since no one answered my questions in the OP, let's try this one: why do you think it'll work differently for us than it did for them?

There is some quote in regards to this..

But basically.. when voters figure out they can vote themselves a free ride, that's the end of a representative democracy..

The government is huge, more controlling and obviously inept, it's not working out differently, it's heading for the cliff..

That's all I ever hear about from the liberals, we want fairness. So, what exactly is that and how do you achieve it in reality. Fairness based on outcomes? Everybody gets the same paycheck regardless of skill or effort? Or fairness based on equal opportunity? Kinda hard to guarantee that, I would think. Suppose somebody fucks off, do you subsidize him anyway? Step up and explain how the concept of fairness works for you.

People hired, are based on skills. Those with the same skills earn the same amount of living wage money. Those that excel in that same skill range receive bonuses, or/are advanced upward to a higher skill range and wage bracket.

Oh, like how Teachers' Unions work?

The Left doesn't want fairness based upon productivity. You are spewing nonsense.

Yes, we should turn government into a privately run corporation to oversee the matters required for a society to flourish that you refuse to do for yourself.

Haliburton double dipped your tax pocket in the ME.
Millions of arms & cash were stolen in the ME.
Oil companies held secret meetings.
Insurance companies increased clients rates 23.7% over night.
Gasoline prices soar across the nation.
Plane & car manufactures gouge the tax payer.
Companies refuse to pay taxes & off shore accounts.

And of course when something goes bad, the efficient corporations can investigate for you. So government of the People is headed off a cliff. Compared to what?

Unions are what they are... Are they perfect? No. But they do serve a purpose. they give the every day worker a voice that would otherwise not be heard. yes... sometimes they overstep their bounds and protect unworthy workers.. but on the other hand, even those unworthy workers paid for that protection... so they are entitled to it.

But, I've been around the system to know that those "unworthy workers" tend to hang themselves more often than not.

Our government was invented to give us all a voice in what happens to us.

If we deside to not let people starve or die unattended from some disease than that is perfectly fine.

What boggles the mind is why so many of you find that to be some horrific crime.
So a voice means 'equal result'? What level of life are you owed without work? hmm?

thats the way it is supposed to work.....but we know it doesnt always work out that way....

yep...right there....you got it Steel....

And THAT'S what the Founding Fathers envisioned. Not Capitalism, Not Socialism... but a hybrid of the two that keeps each other in check.

Unfortunately.. ever since "Reaganomics", there has been way too much Capitalism and way too little Socialism... and that's why we are in the trouble we're in.

I am not a teacher or a union teacher representative, so I don't know how they work.

The Left doesn't want fairness based upon productivity. You are spewing nonsense.

The OP didn't ask how the Left is on fairness, rather how each individual is on fairness.

"Step up and explain how the concept of fairness works for you."

So no wonder it sounds like nonsense to you, and your babbling on about union teachers? LMAO!!

Yes indeed, I say that about gamblers, stock holders, CEOs, Board Members, insurance companies, and politicians.

Yes. I so see the equivalency between a behavioral problem like gambling and working for a living.

thanks for proving what a hack you are.
