As Iraq descends into chaos and anarchy, we hear the almost "gleeful" squeals from the left, as if this somehow reconfirms their persistent claims about George W. Bush. They are parading around all over this board and elsewhere, pretending the deplorable and inhumane events in Baghdad are a vindication of the decade-long protests of US involvement.

However, just a few years ago, Vice President Joe Biden claimed that Iraq would be one of the crowning achievements of the Obama Administration's foreign policy. Yes, they had righted the wrongs of the previous administration by stabilizing the region and getting the hell out of there. Rather than using military presence and show of force, we were going to demonstrate diplomacy and resourcefulness in maintaining the peace from afar. All the threats were gone, if they ever existed in the first place, and our troops had been redeployed to Afghanistan where the REAL terrorist threat prevailed.

Don't worry, they said. The Iraqi Security Force was fully capable of defending the country from rogue attacks by pockets of isolated terrorists. We simply did not need all those resources there, it was a total waste. Of course, this assessment was praised by the liberal left who detested our involvement in Iraq from Day 1. Along the way, even some on the political right had "come to see the light" on Iraq, and supported the Obama Doctrine.

It is no surprise to me that the radical left will continue to blame anything that ever happens in Iraq on the policies of George W. Bush, no matter how removed from those policies we've become. They will proudly endorse the former dictatorial regime as the pillar of stability which Bush interrupted. Yes, the regime of a brutal tyrant who murdered thousands of his own people while his sons roamed the lands searching for virgins to rape on their 16th birthday. That was the country Iraqi's wanted to live in, and we should have never gone there and disrupted it.

Long before Bush became president, it was the Clinton Administration who signed the foreign policy initiative passed by congress, the 1998 Iraqi Liberation Act. This policy called for the removal of Saddam Hussein and replacement with a democratic style government. This policy had broad bipartisan support, and prominent Democrats, including John Kerry and Harry Reid, were all on board. But that all became water under the bridge as soon as Bush put boots on the ground in Iraq. The Bush Doctrine was derided as "cowboy diplomacy" and ridiculed consistently, as left-wing radicals relived the 1960s anti-Vietnam era vicariously through Iraq.

No no no... This was all wrong! The Way of the Future was DIPLOMACY! Not intervention! The Obama Doctrine involved economic sanctions, working with our allies to pressure the powers that be, sitting down and talking to the terrorists and finding common solutions. And the result was promised, these people would respond by being cordial to our efforts, they would realize we weren't the bad guys anymore, Obama would unify the world in bringing about humanity and civilization in these troubled areas. We were assured of this.

Now that Iraq is on the brink of collapse, the left has completely forgotten these statements. We return, as if time has stood still, to the days of Bush. As if everything that has happened in Iraq since Bush left office, was in accord precisely with Bush's plan for Iraq. As if Obama and the Democrats were never elected, never were allowed to implement their policies and initiatives. The liberal left is very good at doing this... they fuck things up beyond repair, then blame the fuck up on the right. It never ceases to amaze me how many gullible idiots buy into this, and it seems to work consistently for the libtards.

Iraq is quickly turning into the worst US foreign policy disaster in history, not because of the Bush Doctrine, but because of the Obama Doctrine. It has failed on every conceivable level and continues to be a joke among the radical Islamic elements in the region. Once again, the United States has made promises to middle eastern people, literally begged them into believing in the US one more time, only to abandon them and leave their people (our allies) twisting in the wind and at the mercy of fanatical barbarians. The LEFT has demonstrated beautifully why these people do not trust the US, and why they continue to spawn radical hate groups who want to destroy us.
