Face it, Obama-haters, he is going to get re-elected

American will never elect a guy who strapped a dog to the top of his car for a 12 hour car ride.

Obama is going to be re-elected.

Poor little fella....

Ya notice if you don't want the reelection of the Obama, that makes you a hater.

In light of the ridiculous showing of possible candidates the Republicans have presented so far, I'd say not wanting Obama re-elected would be down-right stupid. It is definitely time for a 3rd Party candidate to find his/her way to the podium. As an Independent voter I vote for the individual whom I believe can do the job. Perhaps Obama didn't fulfill anything close to what he promised, but neither did the Republican Party fulfill anything period after regaining a majority in Congress.

So in my book both sides are batting a bit fat zero

It begins in 1983 with a 36-year-old Mitt Romney carefully packing up his five sons and luggage into the family station wagon for a 12-hour trip from Boston to Ontario, where his parents had a cottage on Lake Huron. At the time, Romney was a successful young consultant with Bain & Co.

"As with most ventures in his life, he had left little to chance, mapping out the route and planning each stop. . . . Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family's hulking Irish setter, in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon's roof rack."

Cruel? It's not presented that way in the story, which noted Romney built a special windshield for the carrier, "to make the ride more comfortable for the dog."

But Seamus must not have been all that comfortable, because he began to experience, um, gastric distress.

From the story:

As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon, keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble. "Dad!'' he yelled. "Gross!'' A brown liquid was dripping down the back window, payback from an Irish setter who'd been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.

As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.

As the story quickly made its way around the Internet, Romney loathers — and dog lovers — had a field day.

The liberal blog Wonkette said it showed Romney would be a great commander-in-chief for the notorious Iraq prison Abu Ghraib. David Kravitz of the liberal blog Blue Mass Group called it "nuts" and "classic Romney: it solves a problem efficiently, in a business-like manner, and with no regard whatsoever for the suffering that the solution may cause." Ingrid Newkirk of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals told Time's Ana Marie Cox that Romney was giving his children "a lesson in cruelty" and that dogs under extreme stress might lose control of their bowels. "That alone should have been sufficient indication that the dog was, basically, being tortured," she said.

How is the Republican house supposed to accomplish anything when Harry is ignoring everything they send to the senate?

Not sure why you are repeating this story... Politifact seems to think the reporter who goes on about it is kind of nuts.

I mean, guy, there's much juicier anti-Romney stuff out there, but haven't you gotten the memo... you don't go with that until AFTER he gets the nomination.

This is the kind of thing that tells you about the man himself.

And the crap Reid and the Senate pulled was icing on the cake. And Yes I know Repubs in the Senate voted for it. They should be equally admonished.

While that is a statistical probability, it is not likely.
I think it is highly probable.

Of course you do.....:cuckoo:
You don't think the American public understands how the House Republicans got our credit rating reduced, and nearly brought us to financial disaster with their phony Debt Ceiling crisis?

You don't think they will hold the House teabaggers responsible for this latest legislative trainwreck?

You don't think that Democrats will remind the voters that House Republicans all voted to end Medicare in favor of vouchers?

You don't think that Democrats will remind voters how the House Republicans refused to thank our troops for killing bin Laden?

You don't think the Democrats will constantly remind the voters that the #1 priority of Senate Republicans was not to help working Americans or help the economy in any way, but to make sure that Obama is a one-termer?

And I'm the crazy one?

Romney - the Christian Right (which now runs the Republican party) doesn't like his religion. Freedom of Religion and Separation of Church and State aren't in their Constitution and Bill of Rights, remember.

It has nothing to do with "freedom of religion". No one is saying Romney or other members of the LDS can't practice their stupid religion.

It's a matter of making judgments on his batshit crazy beliefs. He believes some truly crazy stuff and that stuff doesn't become less crazy because you call it "a religion".

He's probably going to be the nominee because the GOP Establishment is doing everything it can to rig the game in his favor. Today it just disqualified Perry and Gingrich from the VA primary. And when a lot of people who dislike Romney for various reasons don't show up for him, they are going to be scratching their heads wondering why they lost to Obama, who by all rights should be a one-term president.

His crazy beliefs are no more absurd than Baptist or Catholic or Islamic or Jewish crazy beliefs.

Honest Republicans will admit that the GOP is an absolute mess right now, with a terribly weak & flawed field of candidates. Worse, the party has done this to itself by allowing itself to be controlled by its "my way or the highway" element.

Obama and the Democrats are terribly vulnerable, but the GOP is in the process of blowing it anyway. I have no doubt the Democrats know how lucky they are right now.

No wonder that more and more people are leaving BOTH parties and going independent.

Our "leaders" have failed us. It's time for strict term limits and a balanced budget amendment.

.

So, you believe the answer is to restrict the people's Rights?

If you have anything halfway intelligent to add, I'll halfway pay attention.

Oh I think they're all up there in the crazy belief department. Organized religion is man's invention, not God's. Religions are the purveyors of crazy beliefs. Manipulation, not spiritual growth, is their primary goal. God doesn't care where we are when we pray. But men do. I was raised Catholic and grew up in the Texas Baptist Bible Belt - when it comes to outrageous beliefs those two could lead the pack.

If/when that happens, McConnell (R-KY) needs to announce that he WON'T seek reelection  He's been on the gov't teet so long he's a socialist by definition anyway
Just as Chrissy (Countrywide) Dodd, and Bawney Fwank. Get out after all the damage they caused.

They have caused no damage, you stupid fucking dittohead.
Bullshit. They were warned in '05 what was going to happen. Dodd and Fwank said there was nothing wrong as did a myriad of Statists...

You keep believing The Big Lie that Rush tells you, despite all the evidence I and others have showed that proved Fannie and Freddie played a very minor part in the financial collapse.

You are just stupid enough to believe that crap you are spoonfed every day, from 12-3, then from 3-6.
