And the PREDOMINANT FACTOR, G.T., is the individual himself which is why the nonsense that Obama spewed is so ridiculous. Everyone had some good teachers, everyone had roads and bridges but the individual who had the dream, the guts to put everything on the line to make a business come true is what made the difference for entreprenuers.
They worked longer hours, put up their life savings and usually put up all of their assets to make their dream come to fruition. As a result it became a promise for jobs to others...that make the difference in todays economy.
What he "spewed" wasn't ridiculous, only if you're being a dishonest cynic.
He wasn't denying that the successful individuals in this country didn't bust ass above most others, in order to achieve their goal.
You only extrapolate that from his comments if you're being a dishonest cynic.
His point was, that we should all appreciate the greatness of our Country which *did* help with our success - be it a teacher, roads, student loans, business loans, etc. and that Government isn't always some big bad anti-business monster.
That was his point, and it's all true.
To extrapolate from that: "the successful dont work hard and have nothing to do with their own success" is just being a dishonest partisan cynic. That's just reality.
Your problem, well one of them anyway, is that you refuse to deal with what Warren and Obama actually said.
"You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did." -- Liz Warren
"Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If youve got a business you didnt build that. Somebody else made that happen." Barry Soetoro (Aka Barack Obama)
