You know, you need power for memory when hooking up a new stereo.
For me, my fan and fan clutch decided they sick and tired of being attached to the engine and were going to take off on their own...literally. I replaced them with an electric cooling fan and was just going to stick the wire in with a fuse that was energized when the ignition was engaged...the redneck way I've always done it...UNTIL (dun dun dunnnnn)...I went to youtube and found out there was a piggyback fuse. If you already know about this electrical marvel, this post will probably be anticlimactic...but I had never heard of it, and it is magnificent.
Mine was acquired for the low, low price of $6.99 from O'Reilly's and came with fuses and a wire connector.
