The vast majority of gun violence in America can be gotten rid of by getting rid of criminals.

Stop allowing criminals, thugs, gang bangers, ghetto trash, inner cities, felons and all the bottom of the barrell shitty people to thrive in America.

Our country needs to crack down on criminals and treat them as they are. People need to be afraid of breaking the law, but our weak willed and pussified society won't allow that to happen.

Want to end gun violence? Look at the ones responsible for the majority of it and go after them. Even if you vanish every gun in the world the criminals are still here, they won't magically cease to be bad people because they don't have a gun.

In this era of increasing mental health issues and increasing mass shootings; it would seem logically to have all gun owners undergo mental health examinations. I hope they get this passed on the federal level. Anyone can go crazy, time to weed out the most vulnerable.

That would be a huge slippery slope. Eventually anyone who ever had a headache would be denied gun ownership. Best to be completely honest about gun violence and reveal who shoots people and why. "Truth is the first casualty of war", and there is a war to disarm us going on. The government twists this information into knots (aka 'statistics') in order to keep it from the people.

Mental health is not the basis of 99% of our shootings in this country.....criminal behavior is the cause. That is a result of fatherless homes, which create generational crime and poverty.

In 2022 we had 12 actual mass public shootings...where a mentally ill individual went to a public place with a gun to shoot people.....

12 people out of over 350 million........

We have over 600 million guns in private hands, and over 22 million people can legally carry guns in public for self defense....

12 nuts out of 350 million is not the problem you believe it is......

The real problem is the democrat party, it's judges, prosecutors and politicians who refuse to keep violent and dangerous gun criminals in prison.....it is these individuals, with long histories of crime and violence who are doing almost all of the shooting in this country....

They can't legally buy, own or carry a gun, so mental health tests are not going to do a thing to stop them

True, and regarding gun suicides (still the majority of gun deaths), although the victims are suffering some sort of mental or physical anguish, they are mostly able to conceal their suicidal intentions.

The ATF has flip flopped on it's regulations regarding pistol braces and is trying to enforce that regulation change as if it were a law.
