Emails lost during the Bush administration.

Wait, what?

Where was Issa? In fact..where were the Republicans?

5 million? And from the WHITE HOUSE???

And it happened MULTIPLE TIMES:

The Bush White House email controversy surfaced in 2007, during the controversy involving the dismissal of eight U.S. attorneys. Congressional requests for administration documents while investigating the dismissals of the U.S. attorneys required the Bush administration to reveal that not all internal White House emails were available, because they were sent via a non-government domain hosted on an email server not controlled by the federal government. Conducting governmental business in this manner is a possible violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978, and the Hatch Act.[1] Over 5 million emails may have been lost or deleted.[2][3] Greg Palast claims to have come up with 500 of the Karl Rove lost emails, leading to damaging allegations.[4] In 2009, it was announced that as many as 22 million emails may have been deleted.[5]

Wait, what? 22 million emails?

Why weren't your heads spinning then?

This is the worst kind of post there is. You excuse bad behavior that is detrimental to our country by simply pointing to previous bad behavior. The cycle keeps going on year after year and decade after decade with no real change in our elected officials.

Wrong.

Again: it's not about what Bush did, it's about Rightwing selective outrage.

What crime did he commit?

something about the content of LOST emails has the Bushies all confused ... MAYBE Bush committed the same crime Obama committed, but we don't know because the emails are L-O--S-T ... get it ?
What crime was shown to be committed in those emails?

apparently you can't slow down enough ...

publish the lost emails from the Bush admin and we'll find out. Maybe nothing.

Rightwingers are never going to convince Americans that scrutinizing a political group that is posing as a social welfare group is wrong.

Liberal logic--------Bush did something wrong or illegal therefore its OK for obama to do the same thing.

the Obama admin is using the same excuse the Bush admin used, and its KILLING the right..

You are the one who made the accusation.....Seeing as they are not hidden anymore please tell me the crime he committed that these emails prove....

When the lost Bush emails concern the deliberate targeting of opposing viewpoints to affect the outcome of a presidential election you can bring it up. obama directed a criminal conspiracy.

This isn't going to go away, a new president can bring criminal charges and a new attorney general can prosecute them.

what's the statute of limitations ? Maybe Bush still has some time left before he goes to jail.

How is that massive civil lawsuit trayvon martin's family is filing against George Zimmerman coming. And the federal prosecution, what's the status?

About the same as Bush going to jail.

Here's the thing.

Those emails were on WHITE HOUSE servers.

And several people that were close to the Bush White house, got into trouble.

That's not even REMOTELY close to what's going on now.

But you guys are furious..just furious..I tells ya!

yeah we hear ya

bush lost emails =bad

obama lost emails =okay

You know what would be great?

US Core IT Group.

That way? It's the same folks charged with running the IT for the government.

Now? It's really just a bunch of consultants. It's also underfunded.

That sort of group would employ many of the vets that are coming home. Why? Because many of them have the sort of skills required by the field.

Maybe if the IRS used some of that 89 million in bonus's it gave out and spent it on IT they wouldn't be losing emails eh?

And there's about 85K people working for the IRS. That, evenly divided, works out to about 1047 bucks.

You think a $1,047 bonus is enough to retain accountants, lawyers, administrators and many other professionals that work for the IRS?

You folks have some weird ideas about compensation.
