When you think of political violence brought on by insurrections do you really picture something like what happened that day? Cops and property being targeted? That was a riot dude. A temper tantrum. If a bunch of people had shown up looking to overthrow the government people would have died. You disagree with that?

I know conservatives. They are a lot of things, but impotent fighters is not among those things. Conservatives know how to shoot guns and kill people. And that's what will happen in a real government overthrow situation.

Yeah. There's always going to be lunatics. The left has them too. And then there's the anarchists that just want any kind of trouble. I don't really feel that they represent the whole though, and when the left talks about January 6th I don't often see them make distinctions about good and bad protestors, and the fact that the vast majority of people will not be charged with anything. They just call them all insurrectionists and make the whole thing out to be a lot bigger than it really was.
