Democrats vote to overturn Betsy DeVos rules on student debt

The Democrats' position is apparently that if you attended one of these for-profit colleges and paid tuition, FRAUD IS PRESUMED. There is no real need to establish that fraud occurred, it is presumed, and the debt should be extinguished, and if possible paid out of a fund established by the school.

But wait a second, didn't anyone who went to these schools get the education they paid for? Did the schools actually GUARANTEE that they would get good jobs in the field, or did they - like any good salesperson - make it sound a little better than it actually was? Is that fraud? Would Princeton be presumed to have committed fraud if a grad can't get a high-paying job in her field?

So (a) a requirement that fraud be credibly asserted is "unfair," and (b) the whole change is PERSONALLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE HATED B. DeVOS.

I call, Bullshit.

The entire Student Loan scheme is one of the greatest political frauds in American history. Why else were millions of teenagers encouraged to borrow billions of dollars in order to pay inflated college tuitions? The money then flowed to overpaid and underworked professors to spread their left wing propaganda to these naive students.
