economic growth picked up 2.5% last quarter

Bing? Stepped our game up I see. But like I said, the average job growth between two periods are really about the same. Although, Obama is the one who is suppose to be having the recovery.

words have definitions and if you were REALLY a broker you should know damned well this is called a recovery by all real definitions.

Definition of recovery, definition at Economic Glossary

Term recovery Definition: A early expansionary phase of the business cycle shortly after a contraction has ended, but before a full-blown expansion begins. During a recovery, the unemployment rate remains relatively high, but it is beginning to fall. Real gross domestic product has begun to increase, usually rapidly. However, because the contraction remains fresh in the minds of many, it may not be immediately clear that the trough of the contraction has been

the recession is OVER we are in a recovery.

sorry you want to change the meaning of words to suit your poltical agenda but that is called cheating

Then why hasn't labour force participation returned if you are in a 'recovery.' See lowest it's been since 1978...

fredgraph.png

And the amount of citizens who have left the labor force has reached a record 90 million people. Great recovery.

so now you admitt its a recovery?

You lie alot huh

In economic terms, it's a recovery. But that is only if you are basing this on terms of GDP. Then again, GDP in itself is misleading.

Me and the rest of the thinking non lie telling world are using the word correctly and YOU are lying about its definition to suit your petty lies

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH

you lied and now your stuck huh?

Where is the lie? All I said is that if you look at GDP, there is a recovery. But if you look at economy activity, there is no recovery at all. A recession does not and is not defined by a contraction in the economy and the National Bureau of Economic Research does not defines this as such.

Your problem is you are debating economic topics, but really haven't learned much about economics.

this is undeniable fact bub

then explain why the Bush numbers are so low too?

You guys were claiming it was great while Bush presided over similar numbers

Who are 'you guys' and what does Bush have to do with Obama's recovery. Bush preceded under an area of prosperity (phony prosperity, but prosperity none the less). Obama is suppose to be having a recovery. This means you need job growth to keep up with population growth. This is not what is happening.

read the definition of the word and quit trying to rewrite the dictionary for your cheap political purposes

can you explain why the broker rules were held back for 8 + years?

so your just a typical lying con like all the rest huh?

The NBER does not define a recession in terms of two consecutive quarters of decline in real GDP. Rather, a recession is a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales.
