I was ASTOUNDED at what I found.. Heavy vehicles virtually BANNED from French roads at certain times of day and week. And TAXED by these gantry readers at varying rates at "allowed times"..

If you're a truck driver running late -- you could literally be STRANDED in the middle of France with no way to legally to get out.

Those were angry TRUCKERS and citizens. not corporate execs. The laws that built those toll gates were NOT for the benefit of the energy companies.. You DO have a point about who's STORING carbon credits. Absolutely correct.

But the args for and against a market for trading CO2 credits is NOT the same as onerous braindeads BANS and onerous taxation on trucking traffic.
