Dumb Women on Fox News

Thing is, CNN used to be actual news, had bureaus and correspondents all over the planet to get it, and was the only place to go for instant news any time. Murdoch came along and invented the format of News Theater (which draws more eyeballs via emotional hooks and as a bonus is also a lot cheaper to produce). Because all of those channels are based on profit, this of course was more "successful" (read: made more money) and CNN's support base eroded. To their discredit CNN and later MSNBC followed the Fox model down the hole, and that's why we have precious little actual news while News Theater, we have that out the yinyang.
Is this a joke?
It is not a joke. It is accurate. Only thing left out is the explanation about dividing up the various demographic niches.

No, some of their accomplishments are included in the OP as well. It seems as if you have a problem with the fact that a lot of the women on Fox News are not only beautiful, but very intelligent women as well.

Doesn't matter -- it's still the OP's strawman. He set it up, I didn't. Whether they're "beautiful" or not, besides being a totally subjective assessment, is entirely irrelevant to what they allegedly do. There is no standard of Journalism whatsoever that involves "what the reporter looks like".

I disagree. Appearances are important on television. That's just a fact that it is more pleasant to look at someone who is good-looking and listen to them speak than someone who is hideous.

Are they? Why? If that's true, are we not valuing superficialities over substance?

How does a "good looking" face make a story any more valid? Is it about the content, or about the face presenting it? Aye, there's the rub.

Duh, that's what television is all about, superficiality. The content is pretty much the same, regardless of who is presenting it, considering all of the major news organizations get their info from the same source more often than not, the Associated Press.
Funny thing is most republican women are hot like the ladies on fox. My wife makes those women look average. It's the people watching the shows and assuming those women were picked because they are hot that are mistaken. All conservative women are hot. I think it's what's inside that make them hot. This as opposed to the evil shit that makes democrats look ugly.
That IS funny!

We'll have to get S.J. in here to essplain how Fox Noise is "racist" because their audience demographics shows mostly white people.

Would anyone watch FOX if the journeyist stopped dressing like bar hookers?

Meanwhile the low information left relies on the ....freaking ....comedy channel... for it's news analysis with editorials by stand up comics like Jon Stewart.
The funny thing is that it has been scientifically proven that The Daily Show viewers are better informed than Fox viewers.
In fact people that never watch any news are better informed than Fox viewers - that means that watching Fox actually makes you dumber.
You can't argue with it...it's just science.

The other funny thing is that the poster just admitted by the comparison that he thinks News Theater is News.

Which explains a lot.

Science tells us that he would be better informed by the simple act of not watching any news at all.

For the past 10 years FOX News has had higher ratings and the largest audience numbers (for news and business/political "talk" programs) than all the other TV and Cable news channels combined, which includes: CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS!

Some folks claim that FOX's higher ratings are only because FOX purposely hires a lot of female "reporters" who do nothing but sit around in short skirts and merely "read everything off of a teleprompter".

Bottom line: The next time you hear someone criticizing FOX News for supposedly having a "bunch of dumb gals" as eye candy . . . Check out their qualifications...let them speak for themselves!

you can have all the brains in the world but if you are working for an evil propaganda network helping to destroy our democracy and freedoms then you aren't as smart as you think. also, i'm convinced anybody can buy a piece of paper saying your smart. just look at the tin men we keep putting in high offices all over the u.s. and world wide. these ladies sold their souls for a chance to be on tv and are working for a corrupt empire we all live under.

Sold their souls? Really? Hold on while I turn off my hyperbole alarm...it's blaring right now!

Let me get this straight in this Area 51 of logic. " science tells us" that not being informed at all is the best way to be informed. And it's right wingers that don't believe in science. Ah it's all clear to me now.
No, science tells us that watching Fox makes you less informed than watching no news at all.
Don't blame me, it's a natural law - like gravity.
Yeah cause watching communist news network or one of the socialist broadcast networks is so much more informing.

I believe I have disproved that claim in a previous op and I ain't going through all the research again. And let's see, how many stories have not even been covered by the mainstream media, yeah a whole bunch of important ones. Just look at the Gruber reporting. The same science that has been claiming we are running out of oil for the last thirty years is the science claiming how uninformed fox viewers are. The truth is we would be nothing but sheep if it wasn't for Fox News and the last election proves the point, just as the informed among us predicted six years ago.

And just to get my man card punched let me say for the record; there is nothing more sexy or attractive than a good looking woman with a head on her shoulders.

According to FOX News, young women should excuse themselves from voting and just go back on Tinder because they don't have "the right mindset".

Oh! Another one of my VERY huge favorites was left out of that list. Must be because her show aired after the article was published. But she IS TOPS! Justice with Judge Jeanine is her program. ( weekends ) I predict she will have a daily slot and soon. Her opening points are that captivating and so are her guests.

  1. Jeanine Ferris Pirro is a former prosecutor, judge, and elected official from the state of New York, who is currently a legal analyst and television entertainer.
Absolutely! I suggested earlier that if America must have a female president judge Pirro would be perfect.

If you want to have a debate about the necessity of having an informed electorate in order to have a democracy it is going to start with comments like the one Kimberly G. Made on The Five, an opinion not a news show. Everyone one of us knows plenty of people who have the right to vote but have no clue. This is a huge problem in the age of social media when a mob can be created and managed so skillfully as these race protests have shown. The usual liberal character assassination on a comment taken out of context is unwarranted.
