New Florida law starts July 1 requires welfare recipients to undergo drug tests. They are allowed to fail only once before they are cut off. The ACLU is already suing over this issue in another state. I see this as mostly good by forcing addicts to stay clean if they want assistance. I mean why should we fund someone's drug habits with our dollars. Plus it just might get someone off a drug and encourage them to try to make a better life for themselves. As far as I'm concerned welfare recipients should have to at least do volunteer work for their aid. Thoughts?
