Drones strike Moscow in first attack on Russian capital’s residential areas since Ukraine war began

You are the one that started the what ifs... I'm just correcting you... this war would not have begun under the watch of Trump...
Fuck Trump. He isn't a factor. When he's back in the White House we can talk about Trump's policies.

I'm talking to republicans who are actively opposing Ukraine and advancing the Kremlin agenda.

I posted a quote from Ronald Reagan about US involvement in Europe, and appeasing Russia. I posted that quote because I agree with what Reagan said back then- we cannot afford to be isolationists, and we cannot afford to appease Putin.

You came back with the "what if's"- "Reagan would not be supporting Ukraine today, because of our economic problems, etc."

That is your speculation, based on an obviously flawed perception of Reagan.

Oh back to the topic for a moment in case anyone is actually interested.

Russian media posted another video. If the video is legit, at least one of the drones was a UJ-22.

No American or European drones have been shown in any of the attacks on Russian territory so far.

It wasn't about Reagan either but who brought Reagan up in this discussion?... it wasn't me....
Well then the message in the quote was over your head. I told you why I posted that in post 141. I'd suggest reading it again, but it's not my job to educate the uneducable.

You live in a very small box. Everything in your world revolves around this brain-dead tribal politics, and you aren't bright enough to recognize it. Expand your box.

Again... you brought in the "what ifs" to the conversation... so don't move that goal post around....
We don't have the money little Johnny to fund this war... we just got out of a 20 year war that we lost... errr surrendered....
so every dime we spend to defend Ukraine your great grandchildren will pay for... most likely with Chinese Yuan.....

Post my "what if" argument. Or STFU. I care not which
We don't have the money little Johnny to fund this war... we just got out of a 20 year war that we lost... errr surrendered....
Already addressed, this is a false equivalence.
so every dime we spend to defend Ukraine your great grandchildren will pay for... most likely with Chinese Yuan.....
I hope you speak Mandarin, because if you get your way you'll need it.

Right off the bat you are wrong with your first sentence... Putin didn't attack while Trump was in office and while Reagan was president the wall came down.... but Putin did invade Ukraine while Obama and Biden were in the white house... see it makes a difference who we elect globally....
China just damn near took out one of our planes... when the white house said they were reckless China said we shouldn't have been there... it was over international waters....
Do not make the mistake of thinking that this kind of shit happens no matter who is president... because it doesn't when we have a strong leader that isn't compromised by other nations....
Russia was occupying Donbas region during Trump term of office Known as the early stages of the

Russo-Ukrainian War.

The current situation is just a continuation and escalation of what began in 2014

Even under Trump US was sending support to Ukraine government to fight this war of Russian aggression and Trump even threaten to withhold military aid

So its clear that even under Trump the Russian had invade yet Trump did very little to condemn Russia. We still remember the call to the Ukraine President where Trump talks about aid to Ukraine and wants Ukraine to help him politically.

That region has always been made up of Russian speaking people... stop going to Trump to explain your presidents blunders.... this war would not be taking place if Trump was not screwed out of his second term....

Moscow was hit by drones Tuesday morning, in what appeared to be the first attack on residential areas of the Russian capital since the invasion of Ukraine.

It comes weeks after an alleged drone attack on the Kremlin itself and following days of deadly Russian bombardment against civilians in Kyiv, as events far from the front lines take the spotlight ahead of Ukraine’s planned counteroffensive.

Tuesday's incident caused damage to some buildings in Moscow and forced residents to evacuate homes, officials said, though the Kremlin largely shrugged off the dramatic display that its war was increasingly coming home.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the attack sought to intimidate the public, and commended the work of the capital’s air defense.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Tuesday that eight unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the strikes. All drones were destroyed, it added, with three losing control after being jammed and the other five shot down by anti-aircraft systems.

The ministry blamed Ukraine for what it called a “terrorist attack.”

Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said in an interview that his country "has nothing directly to do" with the drone attacks on Moscow but was "pleased to observe and predict an increase in the number of attacks."

Other sources say three drones got through Russia's air defenses, but the extent of the damage is unknown. The area hit is home to the rich and powerful in Moscow. Putin has his residence there and many government agencies have offices there.
That makes no sense whatsoever.

The Russian/Trump connection. Why they were good buddies
That region has always been made up of Russian speaking people... stop going to Trump to explain your presidents blunders.... this war would not be taking place if Trump was not screwed out of his second term....

Yet your simple logic that the war did not start in 2014 is noted. Stop ignoring Trump failures in order to blame Biden. Russia invaded land that belongs to Ukraine. That is a fact even if you do not want to believe it. Just because they speak Russian and Ukrainians does not justify your denial of facts or Russian invasion.

So while Trump was president the US was still sending aid and money to Ukraine to fight Russia.

Your allegiance to Russia is noted.

You can't still believe that with all the latest news and evidence can you?...
Nearly under his breath, former President DONALD TRUMP said that he and Russian leader VLADIMIR PUTIN “used to talk about” Moscow’s intention to launch another invasion in Ukraine.

It was a throwaway line during Wednesday night’s CNN town hall — but it’s arguably the most interesting one. Trump has long said Europe should spend more on its defense and that he wants the war in Ukraine to end immediately, regardless of who wins. But what stuck out was Trump mumbling that he and Putin discussed Russia’s intention to launch a second, larger incursion of Ukraine.

ALEXANDER VINDMAN, a National Security Council specialist on Ukraine in the Trump administration who testified against the former president, told NatSec Daily that conversations about Russia’s aggression were “on the agenda consistently” during bilateral meetings.

give it up, it clear your a Trump supporter because you do not want to hear anything bad about him and the truth hurts so bad.

I didn't read anything damning in that Politico piece. Vindman (who hates Trump) says Trump warned Putin against invading Ukraine on a regular basis.

"...conversations about Russia’s aggression were “on the agenda consistently” during bilateral meetings. “It was in every set of talking points I drafted for him, all the background documents I prepped.”

Vindman wouldn’t disclose if Trump and Putin spoke about a renewed Ukrainian invasion, saying that was privileged information. But he did assert that warning Russia against escalating the war “was a regular topic.” Trump canceled a meeting with Putin at the G20 in 2018 over Russia shooting at and capturing Ukrainian sailors in the Kerch Strait.

A former Trump administration official, granted anonymity to detail direct presidential-level discussions, said Trump in at least one call told Putin that Russia couldn’t wade deeper into Ukraine because he had approved the transfer of anti-tank missiles to Kyiv. “It was in the context of ‘you can’t do what you did with Obama,’” the official said, noting that the annexation of Crimea and the “little green men” in the Donbas happened on that administration’s watch."

Sounds more like Trump telling Putin "Don't try pulling that shit on me."

I also think Vindman's spin rings hollow:

"...Vindman has a different view of what happened. Putin’s positioning for the second military wave came soon after the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021, he said. “Putin took advantage of the domestic divisions Trump created — he thought we were weak.”

I agree that Putin thought we were weak, but it was because Biden is weak. If J6 was the motivation for Putin, why wait more than a year? The J6 hubbub had blown over for everyone except TDS-afflicted democrats.

Now they are going to get brand-new UAVs to attack Washington and other American cities.

Good job, Joe. As if 911 was not enough.

Col. Alexander Vindman, was the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, He testified about Trump's called to Ukraine president that was seeking a quid pro quo from the Ukrainian government. Trump was looking for dirt on Biden.

Russia was occupying part of Ukraine during Trump reign.

Donetsk region5,042 civilians and DPR fighters killed[30]6 April 2014 – 18 February 2022DPR
Luhansk region2,269 civilians killed[31]6 April 2014 – 23 February 2022

clearly there were civilian casualties while Trump was president. Russian troops were occupying parts of Ukraine during Trumps presidency.

By the end of 2017, OSCE observers had counted around 30,000 people in military gear crossing from Russia at the two border checkpoints it was allowed to monitor,[44] and documented military convoys crossing from Russia covertly

Yeah right Trump warned Putin yet Putin still had troops in Ukraine and they did not withdraw.
