Don't Worry, We'll Never Run Out Of Oil

When will we run out of oil? 50 years? 100? As it turns out, we may never actually run out of this incredibly useful substance.
9 Nov 2022 ~~ By Christopher McFadden
  • The discovery and exploitation of crude oil have literally transformed the world beyond all recognition.
  • This was such a great discovery, that our modern world is literally fuelled by it.
  • If the crude oil supply was to suddenly dry up, could we survive?
Crude oil is one of the most important resources we have ever discovered. Oil and the many products made from it have literally and figuratively transformed the world beyond all recognition. However, as we are constantly reminded, crude oil is not in infinite supply. After all, it took millions of years to "brew".
~Snip~
Frankly, it is a vital resource and one that we will rely on for some time. While it may never technically run out, it will become so scarce at some point that it will be, effectively, depleted.
While we can never know when that day may come, it is prudent that many industries explore methods of replacing crude oil-based raw materials before they are forced to.

Commentary:
McFadden presents a logical dissertation on Oil.
As to when it runs out is still open to debate.
The reason why we will never run out of oil is because earth is continually creating more.
For decades, it was assumed that crude oil was a finite resource in the ground and it would take millions of years for nature to replace it. Recent evidence is showing the earth produces oil and natural (methane) gas at a greater rate than humans can consume it. So much for peak oil.

How & Why Big Oil Conquered The World

Corbett • 10/06/2017
Oil. The 19th century was transformed by it. The 20th century was shaped by it. And the 21st century is moving beyond it. But who gave birth to the oil industry? What have they done with the immense wealth and power that it has granted them? And what are they planning to do with that power in a post-carbon world? This is the remarkable true story of the oiligarchs and the world they have created.

I thought it came from long dead dinosaurs. ("fossil" fuels)

We've ALREADY run out of oil - not because of it not existing, but because Biden doing everything he can to stop us from getting it. If he could get the price of gas at the pump up to $100/gallon, he'd do it. (except when an election is coming near)
Is that why exports are at an all time high, is that why oil production has increased during Biden while it decreased during Trump?

"may never".... well that's 100% definitive then.....

You are flat WRONG. Oil production overall not only increased, during the Trump administration, it soared, and was vastly greater than the production we've gotten with Biden.
Trump production
December 2019 - 402.3 Million Barrels/month
January 2020 - 398.4
And Trump exceeded Biden's top month of 371.2 Million Barrels/month NINE TIMES, despite the Obama low production influences and later, the pandemic months reductions. And note also that Biden's top production month of 371.2, was recently in August of 2022, when he started increasing production, to try to lower gas prices, as we started getting closer to the 2022 ELECTION.

Biden's 2021 average is 341 Million Barrels/month compared to Trump's 374.
Biden's 2022 average (when he ramped up production as the 2022 election drew closer) wasn't much better > 354.

AND, if we extrapolate the EIA graph curve of Trump to now (Dec. 2022) if Trump were still president, it would be whopping 580 Million gallons/month - HUNDREDS of gallons/month more than Biden ever allowed produced.

All one need do to see the stark difference between the oil-friendly Trump and the oil-hostile Biden, is look at the NOSEDIVE oil production took between Trump's last month, and Biden's first month (when he issued an EO to halt oil drilling)
Trump's last month in office was January 2021 - production was 344 MB/mo. Bidens first month was 277.
A DROP of a whopping 67 MB/mo

Is that why exports are at an all time high,
That has nothing to dowith the quantity of oil production (tiny under Biden compared to Trump) - it is simply because Biden wants to keep a shortage of oil INSIDE THE US, so that the price of gas at the pump will be high, and motorists will use less gas (and thereby help the environment)

Leftists need to stop watching CNN, MSNBC, PBS , and MSM, and start watching Newsmax, but they are within the grip of their leftist masters.

Keystone oil spill in Kansas is largest in pipeline’s history, federal data shows

Canada-based TC Energy on Thursday estimated the spill on the Keystone system at about 14,000 barrels, or 588,000 gallons. It said the affected pipeline segment had been “isolated,” the oil had been contained at the site with booms, or barriers, and environmental monitoring had been set up, including around-the-clock air-quality monitoring. It did not say how the spill occurred.

its 2.99 here
we all need water, for food sources, and water for us all. better to quit depending on oil companies.

What does this have to do with the quoted post ? :dunno:

Not economical. Buying an electric car would be worse than if gas were $20/gallon.

And Penelope, I see you popped in a Disagree with my Post # 8. Just wanted to note that you're disagreeing with the EIA, not me All I did was post their reported facts.
So you disagree that what I posted in Post # 8 are EIA facts ? Sorry, you don't get to do that, when I presented their graph, and link to their monthly oil production table.

When you have a quote box in your post, THAT is the post you're replying to.

So I still don't see what your post about the keystone pipeline has to do with my post about Biden keeping gas prices high.

Don't you know you're talking to the smartest poster on this board?

(or so she says)
