To understand what’s going on with President Donald Trump and his opposition, and in other countries as diverse as France, Hungary, Italy and Brazil, it’s important to realize that the post-World War II institutional arrangements of the Western democracies are being renegotiated, and that those democracies’ professional and managerial elites don’t like that very much…

Exactly what I realized just after Trump got elected. It’s the status quo elites vs a revolutionary class attempting to dethrone the elite.

Exactly. Ever look thru the list of RINOs that are never-Trumpers?
List of Republicans who opposed the 2016 Donald Trump presidential campaign - Wikipedia
Stop Trump movement - Wikipedia

The MSM was against Trump, the FBI & DOJ were against Trump, the Obama admin and all of their intel agencies were against Trump, including Komrads Brennan and Clapper. The Hillary Clinton campaign paid British spies and hired Russian's to create a fake "Steele Dossier" to defeat Trump. The polls all said Trump can't win...

Seeing the same thing in places like France.

Trump is brash. Some others with access to atomic weapons are measured and concerned and treat the brash fellow accordingly.

Really though, the act got him elected with more or less half the vote SO, I'm not really that into anti-Trump movements.....was there an "Anti-Gore" conspiracy? He was annoying and more or less got half the votes?

I think it’s deeper.

I think Trump and the Republicans are trying to fundamentally transform America into a kind of Russia rich person oligarch plutocracy.

It’s not about votes or personalities.

It’s about Deep State under attack and who’s attacking and who’s defending.

If its about Deep State, Trump hasn't impressed me anymore than Obama did with financial reform after Obamacare. Them big government HSA folks have him in their pockets.

Trumps list of enemies tells you which side he is on.

It must be all of those taxes in progressive socialist areas that steal from the working class that fooled me.
