The ATF tried to coerce an innocent American Green Beret Veteran into becoming a federal informant after a federal surveillance unit in fly over country observed Randy Weaver exiting a (legal) midwest skinhead display in a state fair. Weaver refused to be a federal informant and the feds played hardball and Weaver became a fugitive from justice. During the legendary abuse of federal power Weaver's son was killed and his wife was shot in the face by a FBI sniper while she was holding her 18 month child in her arms but here is where the torture comes in. Randy was shot by an FBI sniper and while he was isolated in the remote cabin on Ruby Ridge he was subjected to harassing lights and music and taunts about his dead wife. It's all true. Eventually Weaver surrendered and the FBI sniper was indicted by an Idaho Grand Jury for manslaughter. No surprise that the feds were quietly exonerated. Fast forward to Waco Texas when David Koresch was wounded and denied medical treatment or legal representation after a thoroughly botched "raid". It's no secret that the Branch Dividians were subjected to loss of power while lights and crazy music and other psychological torture harassed them night and day before the Feds finally decided on the ultimate solution of tanks and poison gas. What were the feds thinking when they saw candle and kerosene lights when they decided to pump poison gas carried by a volatile gas similar to lacquer thinner? The place erupted in flame and the feds were off the hook.
