America has allies, it's just that they think invading/attacking Syria is a bad idea.

Obama's leadership on the world stage has been good in many regards, ...not on Syria, Egypt and Libya ...and apologising the "Muslim world" all the time though.

His sending back to Britain the bust of Winston Churchill that was in the Oval office when he was elected [because he seemingly hates "the British"] wasn't a very good idea though.

Is it better to do nothing and not actively create enemies, or to make a token effort because the U.S. has to take some kind of stand? I'm pissed that Obama has already said so much is off the table. But if the U.S. does nothing, that would be the worst of all. So vive la France.

In this case, IMHO, we are better off doing nothing.

Obama should make a face saving speech and try to pivot to something else as quickly as possible.
