I don't think it is obvious when a child says this kind of thing. I'm not sure exactly how old she is but she looks like she is still very young & young people generally don't make up such things. . Why would she make up that?

It does seem outrageous for the following reason:

why would such people in "high"

places do something like that, knowing they are likely to be found out?

They wouldn't want to lose all their prestige and wealth and end up in prison, would they? That's all they would care about, though... it doesn't look like those folks care one wit about anyone but themselves (the only thing that keeps them from committing these kinds of atrocities)
