Studies have shown that rape victims who resist with a gun are only half as likely to be injured as those who do not resist.

Guns are no more responsible for the death of another human than a kitchen knife would be. People are killed with ice-picks, shovels, knives, poison, cars, doctors, etc... Many things should be outlawed by using your logic.

There is nothing to debate. For one thing, how many patients are treated by doctors every year? I'm going to go out on a limb here and claim that doctors save more lives than they accidentally end, they save more lives than guns do, and percentage-wise, doctors are safer than guns.

But that doesn't matter in the least. You can pull statistics out of your rear all day but since they have nothing to do with each other they are meaningless.

Unless you are trying to make the case that when doctors kill less people than guns we can safely ban guns.

Well, regardless of whether or not they use instruments, the intruments to not jump off of the tray and kill the patient. I would probably say that doctors utilize instruments, but the instrument itself (which could potentially be responsible for death) does not utilize itself. Just like a gun will not shoot itself without human control.

I'm a PRO-GUNNER, but yes, they do save lives...It just depends on the one who's got the better aim.

1.4 million guns were stolen in the last 15 years, so "responsible gun owners" are the ones who are providing criminals with guns.
