Do Republicans understand the meaning of the word "coalition"?

More lies from thr left. Just because you say it, doesn't make it true. Next you'll probably try to make us believe the TeaParty are a bunch of racist.

Stormfront seems to think so.

Is The Tea Party Racist? Ask Some Actual, Out-Of-The-Closet Racists

Insight into how openly racist people view the tea party can be gleaned from a long-running debate among white supremacists at the website Stormfront.org.

Stormfront -- whose motto is "White Pride World Wide" -- is among the most popular white nationalist (WN, in the community's lexicon) gathering spots online, and discussion of the tea party is a regular part of the chatter. One thread, started in 2011 and still active recently, debates just how racist the tea party is. In the evil, upside-down world of white supremacy, the label of racist is meant as a compliment and, to many Stormfront posters, the tea party earns high marks.

The thread can be read here, but the debate breaks down into roughly two camps, one arguing that the tea party is a dead end for white nationalists and the other side arguing that many in the tea party already have racist attitudes and present an opportunity for white nationalists to ply their message. The only area of agreement seemed to be that the tea party loses its way in its strong support of Israel, which the neo-Nazi Stormfront crowd does not appreciate.

Yes, the Republicans understand the meaning of coalition, bi-partisan and compromise: do it the Democrat way, which they've pretty much been doing for the last 20 years.

why didn't you post the entire chart? take it back to 1940 and its almost completely blue. Dems are mostly responsible for the mess we are in today, they controlled congress for most of the last 75 years.

First of all, the poster (PainefulTruth) quantified it to the last 20 years.

Second, Dems are mostly responsible for NOT being in a mess before the Reagan revolution, a bigger failure than the Bolshevik revolution.

“Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. Reagan was an ideological inflection point, ending a 50-year liberal ascendancy and beginning a 30-year conservative ascendancy."
Charles Krauthammer

"The debt explosion has resulted not from big spending by the Democrats, but instead the Republican Party's embrace, about three decades ago, of the insidious doctrine that deficits don't matter if they result from tax cuts."
David Stockman - Director of the Office of Management and Budget for U.S. President Ronald Reagan

listen, fool. I don't need some left winger to tell me what the tea party is all about. I know who and what it is.

the tea party movement is

freedom
individual responsibility and accountability
lower taxes
smaller less intrusive government
sane fiscal policy
sane international policy
strong defense
sound borders
equality for everyone
limits on lobbyists
racial harmony

you can continue the lies if it somehow makes you feel good, but they are still lies.

LOL...the very SAME teabaggers who opened their very FIRST national convention with a xenophobic racist rant by Tom Tancredo?

"Fool" would be a major upgrade for a pea brain like you...

You weasels need to cut off the truth when you copy and paste..
You need to learn how to read. I did not say that no Republicans have ever refused to compromise with any Democrats. And quoting David Frum? Seriously?

Oh yea, I forgot...David Frum is now tainted. He spoke the TRUTH, how DARE HIM!

David Frum and the Closing of the Conservative Mind

by Bruce Bartlett

As some readers of this blog may know, I was fired by a right wing think tank called the National Center for Policy Analysis in 2005 for writing a book critical of George W. Bush's policies, especially his support for Medicare Part D. In the years since, I have lost a great many friends and been shunned by conservative society in Washington, DC.

Now the same thing has happened to David Frum, who has been fired by the American Enterprise Institute. I don't know all the details, but I presume that his Waterloo post on Sunday condemning Republicans for failing to work with Democrats on healthcare reform was the final straw.

Since, he is no longer affiliated with AEI, I feel free to say publicly something he told me in private a few months ago. He asked if I had noticed any comments by AEI "scholars" on the subject of health care reform. I said no and he said that was because they had been ordered not to speak to the media because they agreed with too much of what Obama was trying to do.

It saddened me to hear this. I have always hoped that my experience was unique. But now I see that I was just the first to suffer from a closing of the conservative mind. Rigid conformity is being enforced, no dissent is allowed, and the conservative brain will slowly shrivel into dementia if it hasn't already.

Sadly, there is no place for David and me to go. The donor community is only interested in financing organizations that parrot the party line, such as the one recently established by McCain economic adviser Doug Holtz-Eakin.

I will have more to say on this topic later. But I wanted to say that this is a black day for what passes for a conservative movement, scholarship, and the once-respected AEI.

:eusa_shhh:
but of course that's how it works to the intolerant, close minded lib/left

I know I am. Why don't you believe David Frum and Bruce Bartlett? There must be a good "subjective" reason...

Seems Republicans keep insisting that blacks and Hispanics and gays and women are being misled by those in charge of the Democratic Party. Those four groups are valuable members of the coalition party. They aren't subjugated. They are valuable members. The Democrats are led by blacks and Hispanics and gays and women among others. The leadership is a coalition. Not some monolithic group of who knows what. While the single largest group is white, those whites include gays and scientists and others the Republicans simply will not tolerate in their party.

you are so full of shit and lies that you could put both Clitons and the Obummers to shame. ... :lmao:

Listen up ignorant shitstain, learn how to use Google. Start with "romney's gay adviser resigns" and see what your ignorant ass comes up with.

Conservative Radio Host High-Fives Romney Campaign for Canning Gay Adviser - US News

What is it with these ignorant right wingers? Seriously, can someone tell me? How come they don't know anything?

the thing with progressive/liberals speak of coalition

It's only to use people to sling HATE at others...They aren't individuals to Democrats, they are groups to be used

why anyone wouldn't be OFFENDED by this and belong to that horrible party is beyond me

dimocraps are proven liars, haters, and racists. They have no honor, no integrity, no good will, no respect for others and no intention of keeping ANY bargain the minute it no longer suits their nefarious purposes.

You don't compromise with people like that, you destroy them.

Wow, a final solution from a party that's 90% white. Who knew?

Imperial Japan, Facist Italy, and Nazi Germany were also a coalition.

Do you understand the concept of word definition and how they can be misused for the purpose of propaganda?

Democrats were the conservatives until the middle 60's when blacks joined the party and freaked out conservatives fled the Democratic Party and swelled the ranks of the Republican Party. This is why Republicans are 90% white today.

You don't serious believe conservatives were on the side of Lincoln. You would have to be a dolt to believe something so ignorant and laughable.

Do Republicans think their party is a coalition? If so, what are the diverse groups that make up the GOP?

Many Republicans coalesced with the democrats back in 1935. They are referred to as the Surrender Caucus.

The Coalition is known as the Demopublicans.

Socialists, fascists, communists , state supremacists, progressives are some of the diverse groups included.

Japan, Facist Italy, and Nazi Germany were a coalition through necessity. They were also extremely different. Different races, different religion, different culture, different on every level you can imagine.

How are Republicans "different"? Because some have that corny accent and some don't?

Ah yes, I see. And these groups have publicly stated Democrats have co-opted all their ideas?
