Do People Know the Difference Between Capitalism and Crony Government?

I read again and again on these threads how capitalism isn't working, how it must be strictly regulated and how it leads to vast income inequality.

The problem with this notion is that we DO NOT HAVE CAPITALISM in the U.S., we have a crony government that protects and hands out favors to the wealthy and powerful corporations.

Recognition of the fact would blow to bits too many progressive anti-market memes.

They really don't seem to mind appearing stupid, as long as they can blame all the world's woes on offshoring, republicans, the 1%, tax cuts, republicans, the TEA party, talk radio, republicans, CEOs, racism, homophobia, misogyny and republicans.
