Conservatives want to end them all


Of course we want to end unemployment, we want jobs for all, Democrats want to destroy industrys and jobs so people vote for Democrats.


Btw folks on social security got a big raise this year biggest in like 8 years.
 
So what does that have to do with my question?
Obviously the people who look to other countries are doing so to show alternatives to how we do things here.

It seems to me they want us to change this country into one of the others, it's not just a suggestion.

The problem is there is only one USA, but there are plenty of liberal, socialist and Communist countries to go to. Once they destroy the USA, there is no other USA we can run to. So why try to change this one and unique place into something that's already out there?

While the country at that time was the best our founders could do. Liberals realized we could do better......end slavery, women's rights, worker rights, civil rights, environmental protections, gay rights.

Yes....Classical Liberals, the Founders would be called Conservatives if they were alive today......we share the same beliefs as the Founders do...the left wing do not....
 
During a debate with a leftist this morning, I was once again told how much better things are in other places, and that made me ask myself if liberals even like this country yet alone love it?

How great other countries have it is a leftist argument they make all the time. It's beginning to be almost as common as saying the right are racist, sexist, homophobes.

What crossed my mind this morning is something I never thought of before: conservatives never say how much better it is in other places. We have our faults, we have our differences, but you never read a conservative say our country is not as good as X.

Liberals are quite the opposite. They want us to change our healthcare system like "theirs." They want us to have gun restrictions like theirs. They want us to have an education system like theirs. They want us to have a government structure like theirs. They want us to have an immigration system like theirs. They want us to have a justice system like theirs. We should take most of the money from rich people like they do. We need to change our election system like theirs.

So I'm going to ask this question one more time even though I've never gotten an answer before: If it's so good "there" WTF are you doing here?

It's apparent that we on the right love our country and the left does not. So the question I have (especially to you leftists) is if you do even like this country? It sure as hell doesn't seem like it since you want to change every aspect of it.
We are failing our people. Why can't you see that?

So what does that have to do with my question? And by "we" do you mean government?

So again, if it's so much better other places, why not move to one of those many other better places?

And the only way those countries exist is because the United States exists. If we weren't around, they would already be in another World War......and there would be chaos....since they couldn't afford to defend themselves and provide their welfare states..........

Our country makes their countries possible.......

and they are ungrateful pricks about it....

That is the beautiful thing about the Constitution......We the People get to decide what we want from our Government

No, what the federal government is required to provide is listed in the Constitution. If it were to provide anything we wanted, why would the founders have made a list of what they were to provide?

What happens when they tear down the old factory and sell it...someone else buys that land and makes a new building where they build homes or open new businesses...please......try to understand how business actually works....

They all want to, that's the point of the topic. What I can't understand is why they would put the time, energy and money into turning the US into a place that's already created to their liking. I mean.... if there was a more conservative capitalist country around that I kept comparing to the US, I would just move there instead of trying to change the US into that country.

This is a fantasy....nothing the government does actually works. Those parts of the government that do a somewhat okay job...like the military, only do so because they are front line accountable for their actions...if the military screws up, people die, so they have an immediate response to their failure....no other government activity has that need to actually deliver things well and efficiently......

everything you posted about...requires taking something from one person and giving it to another, by the means of an arbitrary, government bureaucrat controlled agency......that is innefficient, and unaccountable and so they all go bust, they all fail, and they all lead to more calls for more government to fix the problem they were created to fix in the first place....that they simply made worse.....
