Do Elections Have Consequences?

We're two weeks away from the Nov 8th elections and things are going south fast for the blue team. Will Democrats listen to the voters because elections have consequences or will they just brush it off and say that this always happens at the midterms and want to continue going in the same direction, the direction that 70% of Americans say is the wrong direction? Will Biden let the country fall into a deeper recession so that he can blame it on the newly elected Republicans because party before country (probably even before the newly elected take office)? Will Biden and the democrats resist the newly elected House and Senate that voters voted in or will they man and woman and Trans up and admit that elections have consequences?
