Ok bigots can't deny a service to the public if they own a business. How far should we prohibit them acting on those feelings? it seems to me that to completely bar a bigoted individual is to basically make being a bigot illegal since they can't apply those feelings in any aspect of their lives. It would have the same affect as saying banning being a bigot which would violate some portion of the first amendment.

By the same token, using the same logic, what about preachers, cops, politicians, lawyers, judges, and others that exhibit extreme bias, prejudice, hatred, and dislike for others?

They hate Christians, Jews, White people, America, The Flag, the Military, Republicans, Black Conservatives, Conservative Women, Conservative Hispanics, any Conservative, God, The Rich, The Middle-Class, Straight people, Large Families, Marriage, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Mike Pence, Ronald Reagan, Bill O'Reilly, Fox News, Clarance Thomas, Israel, George W. Bush, Cops, people who don't agree with them, and basically have their own political party and seems to hate everyone and everything good in this country.

If you got rid of bigots there would be no Democrats.

.

Lefties are just as bigoted as anyone else, they're just too blinded by their self-righteousness to see it.

So yes, bigots have a right to exist.

We can try to use calm and reason and rationality and patience to change hearts and minds, like intelligent adults.

What is the difference between a Democrat and a Republican? Are not all, both parties, professional politicians, doing what professional politicians do? Are both controlled by Lobbyists? Do both parties cater to the wealthy, the powerful, and the influential? Are both parties responsible for our decline over the past 50 plus years? Do both parties sign-off on senseless deadly costly wars? Do both parties ignore our rundown infrastructure? Do both parties approve of and condone the off-shore out-sourcing of our jobs? Do both parties approve of and condone the importing of labor? Do both parties approve of and condone subsidies to the wealthy and big corporations? Do both parties engage in pork spending? Do both parties accept the ridiculous perks and benefits they enjoy at taxpayers' expense?

Do both parties send our jobs to foreign labor markets via our unfair, unjust, and one-sided foreign trade agreements and policies? Do both parties approve of and condone wasteful foreign aid? Do both parties approve of and condone excessive military spending? Has both parties had a hand in our astronomical and rising national debt? Are both parties allowing the flood of illegal immigrants to enter this country "Illegally"? Has either party addressed the many injustices in our judicial system? Has either party addressed the luxury living in our prisons? Has either party held public protests against our loss of privacy? Has either party lead protests and engaged in serious investigations into the obvious government corruption?

How many members of either party has lead protest marches, a la MLK, to the steps of the Capitol and demanded fair, equal, and just representation for the American people? Has either party made a vigorous effort to stop the flood of money going off-shore to avoid taxes? Has either party made an honest effort to provide and ensure self-supporting opportunities for our growing work force? Has either party made a strong stand to prosecute those responsible for pension fund fraud and corruption? Has either party addressed the growing poverty and homelessness? Has either party made a vigorous and serious effort to stop Medicare and Medicaid fraud and corruption? Has either party seriously addressed the fraud and over-payments connected to government no-bid contracts? How many of either party demanded the release of innocent citizens held in our prisons and jails? How many of either party has demanded prosecution for those responsible for the nearly 400,000 citizens that die each year from infections obtained in hospitals?

Are we any better today as a nation and as a people, than we were 50 years ago? Through many administrations, both Republican and Democrat, we have steadily declined in all areas. We have lowered our standard of living, increased poverty, increased homelessness, increased our debt, sent our soldiers to slaughter in senseless deadly costly wars, made enemies of those that were once our friends and allies, allowed living wage self-supporting opportunities to leave this country, allowed wealth to amass at the top at the expense of the Middle Class, created a dependent nation and citizenry, and have allowed taxation without fair, just, and equal representation. So, again, what's the difference between Republicans and Democrats?

Oh, so an Orthodox Jewish florist would be a "bigot" if he did not want to do the flower arrangement at a swinger party? After all, there is some valid science that indicates that men can feel genuine love for more than one woman at a time, so swingers could plausibly claim that their desire for multiple partners is "natural" and thus their "orientation."

Similarly, when you guys, as a few of you are already trying to do, succeed in getting the age of consent lowered to 14 or 12, and a 12-year-old girl's parents agreed to let their daughter marry a 40-year-old man and they asked a Christian photographer to photograph the wedding, would the photographer be guilty of "bigotry" if he declined to attend the event?

You guys are the real bigots, mean-spirited bigots at that. No gay couple "needs" to force a Christian vendor to host or attend their wedding. This is not a "basic need." No one is being denied a meal in a restaurant, or a room in a hotel, or medical care at a hospital or clinic, etc. We're talking about asking religious vendors to host or attend a gay ceremony and their right not to do so if they find it morally and spiritually offensive.

If a hippie who didn't believe in marriage at all refused to service a gay wedding, gays would laugh it off and just go get another vendor. But most gays hate Christians and can't stand any kind of reminder that homosexuality is abnormal, and so they try to get Christian vendors fined or jailed for not wanting to host or attend gay ceremonies. THAT's bigotry, very ugly bigotry.

The difference is Democrats lie about what they really believe in to get votes from people they don't agree with. Most of their efforts are using the media to change everyone's minds on their favorite issues. Same-sex marriage, Global Warming, income-inequality.

Best way to get elected is sound like a Republican. Democrats have to wait till after the election to start showing their real stripes. Then 6 months out, they drop the bullshit and start sounding like Republicans again.

Eventually, they hope they can show their true selves in public without being told they suck.

Liberals in this country are getting vicious and ugly.

Libs think the only people that have a right to exist are the ones that think and act as they do. Biggest bigots there are in this country.

You just described all professional politicians, both Republicans and Democrats. FYI -- Honesty and politics mix like water and oil. They're all corrupt, every single one of them. Both Republicans and Democrats campaign on lies. Both are experts at giving "Dr. Feelgood" speeches while campaigning. Once elected to office, they exert their will, and not the will of the people. All of them accept money and favors from special interests, the wealthy, the powerful, and the influential. All of them sell their votes on legislation and policies. All of them are self-serving egotistical power hungry anti-America jerks. If the above characterizations were not true, we wouldn't be in the sad shameful state that we're presently in. All professional politicians are for sale, and everyone of them are bought and paid for. They owe many favors by the time they're elected to office, and after election, they repay those favors through legislation and policies. It's not rocket science, and it's very obvious to anyone that actually pays attention and separates the wheat from the chaff. It doesn't take an MIT graduate, nor a Philadelphia lawyer to see and understand how politics in this once great nation works. The evidence is on Main Street America, and in daily headlines for all to see.

So, again, what's the difference between Republicans and Democrats?

I am not sure you could pass a law to out law the democrat party.

I'm a bigot because I want you to believe that black Americans should have equal rights and that you should act accordingly?

lol

Indeed.

And that goes for politicians, pundits, politicos and partisans.

It has essentially become professional wrestling for political geeks, and the country is suffering as a result.

.
Maybe one day voters will wake up and smell the coffee.
Yeah.

It's going to take a leader (or multiple leaders) with a real set of balls, someone who is not afraid to piss off both whacked-out ends.

I don't see anyone like that currently.
