There had been massive debate among our family line as to the genealogy of my great-great grandfather. So much so, that he was exhumed and DNA tests were performed. It has now been confirmed that he was 100% Cherokee Indian.

Which makes me a legal minority, and eligible for membership/benefits through the Tribe.

In all seriousness.....he was exhumed and was determined to be 100% Cherokee. Pretty much throws a different light on everything I thought I knew, and some amazing irony into my family history.
