Think the context of the sentence has a lot to do with it too. When I am reading real fast I don't read every word but my mind grasps the intent of the whole sentence. Part of that has to do with understanding the language and all the reading I have done in my life. Now reading Spanish is different because I do not have all the years of experience with it

I couldn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a researcher at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important! If you can read this forward it.
