Words and how you use them actually do matter and make a difference. I credit Michelle Obama with being intelligent enough to know that. You, I am not so sure about.

You just said it yourself - 'Slave labor was used to 'HELP build the WH', not 'TO BUILD the WH'. Michelle Obama did not use the words she chose lightly. No she was making it a point to declare she lives under the oppressive reminder of slavery....a reminder that she and Barry continue to throw out over and over, again and again. She was making a political, racially divisive point.

1st families should do all they can to bring the nation together, as Obama promised, not to significantly divide the country as they have done. Her comment was not meant to bring anyone together, to heal the wounds of slavery but to throw salt in those old wounds.

Much like this country USED to be, the effort to build the WH was a collective 'melting pot' of race, color, and talent, many people who came together to build a structure really incredible...much like our ancestors worked together to create something really special - this country....even under hard times / circumstances.

She does not see it that way...and why would she? Again, according to her, she was never proud of this country until Barry won the WH. Think about that for a second - think of all the AMAZING things throughout history that has happened in / by / because of this country. If you can't find anything in our more than 200 year old history to be proud of then you have a serious frickin' personal problem...and you definitely shouldn't be in the WH representing this country!

And instead of racial division and waking up every morning to remember slavery she should be waking up every morning focused on the future of this country and the great potential to become more unified as a nation, what her husband promised he would do for this country! She CHOSE not to, though, either on purpose or ignorance - leaving out the real history and message of the WH - many different people coming together to do / make something great!

The Dixie Chicks kicked off their DCX MMXVI World Tour Friday in Cincinnati by performing in front of a massive backdrop showing Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump with devil horns on his head and a satanic mustache and goatee.

Last night’s politically-charged performance wasn’t the first time the Texas-based country music band used their celebrity status to take shots at a major Republican party leader.

During a performance in London in 2003, Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines told the crowd that she was “ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.” Maines’ attack on President George W. Bush led to music stations across the United States pulling the Chicks from their radio playlists.

Nearly 10 years after attacking Bush, Maines doubled down, saying, “I was right from the beginning.”

She later tweeted that she was right to attack Bush, calling her detractors “#dummies.”​

The 41-year-old has bashed Trump before Friday’s night concert. The singer took to Twitter back in January and tossed out a recycled joke about Donald Trump’s hair.​

I rather suspect there customers have changed since the George Bush comment from the more conservative country music fan to the more liberal pop music millennial who goes for that kind of stuff. All I can say is long live AC/DC.
