Discipleship let's face it is the hardest responsibility as a Christian. In the bible we are supposed to call a sin into the light a sin. What many Christians don't know is that in the Bible we are supposed to share Christ or the word of God with LOVE 1 time and no matter how the person perceives it whether they say I don't want to hear it OR if they say thank you, we are supposed to let it go because we planted a seed and let God work.

What people don't realize Christians and non Christians alike is that if we keep bringing up the sin and keep repeating over and over the mistake that someone made is that is crossing the line and dishonoring God, and whether the person meant to or not and they are being perceived as self-righteous. That word self-righteous is thrown around way too much. The true meaning of self-righteousness and how one can be a self-righteous individual is simply by people perceiving them and what they are saying as self-righteous. It doesn't matter if the person has good intentions or not.

The true test of faith is to have enough faith in God that God will work to grow the seed that you planted by sharing Christ and Gods word and the ONLY way to do that is to step back and let it go and wait for that person to come to God. Also, you might not be the one in that persons life to share Christ with them and God simply used you to plant a seed. Most Christians can't demon-straight this type of faith through patience, because they are to anxious for that persons salvation. Anxiousness is a sin. Anxiousness is the same as FEAR. God has harsh words about fear in the bible. He says we are to NEVER be fearful because we are supposed to demon-straight FAITH that through Christ we can get through ANYTHING. Fear is the number 1 way for Satan to enter your life, which he does through sin.

You asare right, most people don't understand that a Christian doesn't have to "harp" on a person, just share the Good News of the LOVE Jesus has for them and stand back and watch the miracle. It may not happen quickly and the Christian may not know, but planting the seed is like God's LOVE, it grows in such a way it is hard for us to understand.

It is important that we respect the free will that God has given to all. We must remember that it was Satan who wanted to use force. Fee will is essential to our happiness. We must allow all to make their own decision whether to follow God or not. It is an eternal principle. Forcing others to live your religion has never worked. It only breeds hatred for your religion. Force was instigated in the dark ages and it was a disaster which caused millions to lose their lives.

Discipling someone is an ongoing process where a mature Christian comes alongside a new Christian and helps to "disciple them", J.R.. It would not be evangelizing because evangelizing is going into all the world (even the internet is a highway) highways and byways and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with whosoever will....... I do agree with you that if someone comes to you and shares Christ with you it should not be repeated over and over - that is harassment, not witnessing to a person - the Bible is clear that those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God - I cannot imagine the Spirit of God sending a laborer to an individual over and over and over again. It's not scriptural.
If someone does not receive the Word we are to shake the dust from our feet and move on...
Rarely does the LORD lead me to go to someone one on one and talk to them - unless it is over some need they have - something they are struggling through - the main work of a laborer is prayer - the Gospel message is not going to produce fruit without prayer first. That is why so much of what we see on television and mega churches isn't producing anything. They are men without a prayer life.
If someone comes to you and shares Christ - someone else will follow later to water that Word, and after them someone else - perhaps but it will not be the same person again and again - I do not believe that would be God.
