Rape is an especially immigrant specific crime. In Latin American countires, India, and the Middle East + North Africa, women and children are very low regarded as compared to the US. A common thought of convicted criminals from these places is that they question that they did anything wrong.

Also, the reporting of these crimes is very low, because the women victims are part of that culture as well, and also don't think of it as criminal behavior.
