Did I miss when Obama tried to use diplomacy with Gaddafi?

Gaddafi has sent three envoys overseas to try to use diplomacy


I found an article of Gaddafi trying to use diplomacy, but I never found one of Obama doing that.


Did I miss it? Can anyone provide me a link?


I remember hearing a lot of rhetoric about diplomacy-first, but that's about it.

There is one major difference between Libya and other countries, such as the Ivory Coast, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, etc.... that is the United Nations. Every time any kind of action is proposed in relation to those countries, it gets vetoed. Why do none of you ever mention that? Why do you conveniently overlook the facts that don't suit your agenda? Russia and China - that's the problem, not a lack of will on the part of the west.
