Former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter, erstwhile Wyoming Senate candidate Liz Cheney, wrote their version of "the truth about Iraq" in an op-ed published by the Weekly Standard.

Among the "truth" the two conservatives dish out in the op-ed is an "undisputed" claim that's actually been disputed several times.

"Those who say the invasion of Iraq in 2003 was a mistake are essentially saying we would be better off if Saddam Hussein were still in power. That’s a difficult position to sustain," the Cheneys write. "It is undisputed, and has been confirmed repeatedly in Iraqi government documents captured after the invasion, that Saddam had deep, longstanding, far-reaching relationships with terrorist organizations, including al Qaeda and its affiliates."

In 2002, the New York Times claimed the Bush administration was "sowing a dangerous confusion" by saying al Qaeda had a relationship with Hussein's regime. In 2004, the 9/11 commission reported it found no "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and al Qaeda. And a 2008 military report released by the Pentagon also showed no connection between the two.

Dick and Liz just can't give up trying to whitewash the lies of the Bush/Cheney Administration.

Because it's easier to blame others for perceived mistakes than to be responsible and make good choices for the future.

I'm tired of these left wingers and their hate sites like the HUFFERpufferpost blame everyone else for everything...

DON'T support these sites folks by clicking on the links to them

You HAVE to understand the "logic" or rather lack of, with these Nazis. The general idea here is to attempt to take as much focus off of Barry as possible by going "backwards" in time. They simply can not (or WILL NOT) admit that their boy is an abject failure and will go down in history as the most incompetent president in the history of America.

-PLUS-

Take the focus off the November Midterms in a feeble attempt to ward off the ass-kicking that is now inevitable. They are going to lose the Senate and gain seats in the House. Harry Reid will be gone (probably to a rubber room) and that stupid slut Pelosi will disappear into her blissful ignorance - where she becomes as irrelevant as ever.

The 9/11 report stated that Saddam didn't support Al Qaida camps in Iraq but he didn't try to kick them out either. Dick and his Daughter really stretch the truth there.

I still can't get over the fact that that Scumbag Dick Cheney didn't have a heartbeat for over a year. My God, America has had the worst leaders in it's history since JFK was shot. Yes, that includes Obama.

The sky is still blue here. Crops are tall & life is good.

How's your borders? how's your OScamCare? how's your President he is so ENGAGED and feels your pain? oh wait, he went to a fundraiser a couple days ago, defiantly said he won't go to the border, and now went on vacation...

Obama has certainly made his share of mistakes. But Dubya was so bad, so HORRIFICALLY bad, that Obama's mistakes seem almost like positive decisions.

On the upside our allies like us again, 2 costly unwinnable wars are over,"OScamcare" as you call it is doing fine, and the economy is on the rise.

As for our borders? That issue is so convoluted among the left and right there's no way you could blame it on either. After all Reagan supported amnesty and the border was just as open under Bush and Clinton.

you got an atta boy for that...
how shopping for groceries for your family?

Groceries will fall after October harvest. We are going to have a record crop this year. Corn price has fallen big time. Once this cheap grain is harvested & grows more animals for less, meat prices will drop.
