Not shocking given her age and considering two other well known Democrats in the state have already announced their intentions to run for the seat.

LOS ANGELES -- Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, whose groundbreaking political career shattered gender barriers from San Francisco's City Hall to the corridors of Capitol Hill, said Tuesday she won't seek reelection in 2024.

The senator, who turns 90 in June, is the oldest member of Congress and has faced questions in recent years about her cognitive health and memory, though she has defended her effectiveness representing a state that is home to nearly 40 million people.

The announcement came after several prominent Democrats, including U.S. Reps. Katie Porter and Adam Schiff, already had declared Senate campaigns. With Feinstein a now 30-year veteran of the Senate, there hasn’t been a wide open competition for her seat in decades.

I heard that Dementia is creeping in on Dianne....but she still has her shit together compared to Biden and John Fetterman.

It's way past time.

Even by the standards of how corrupt and soulless California politicians in general are, she was among the worst to begin with, and only became more and more so as she became more entrenched; tempered in recent years by her growing and obvious dementia.

Just think how much of her corruption the nation could have been spared, if, on whatever occasion this picture had been taken, there was someone in the audience that was armed and prepared to respond in the appropriate way to a crazy woman pointing an apparently loaded gun into the audience, with her finger on the trigger.
