Beijing chokes on off-the-charts air pollution as thick smog settles over northern China

In terms of health impacts, the air quality in Beijing and other parts of northeast China is off the charts. On Monday, the air quality index measured at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing reached a staggering 611 for small particulate matter. In the U.S., the EPA considers an index over 100 to be unhealthy. At an index over 300, the air quality “would trigger a heath warning of emergency conditions,” reads airnow.gov. “The entire population is more likely to be affected.”

Is their CO2 the problem?

Yes. They need to fix their air pollution like America did.
which repubs would undo in a ny minute if they could. More profits for their paymasters

Pure speculation

You should complain to the Chinese..........We cut emissions here...........and you still bitch and whine as power bills go up............Go to China and stop them...........I'm sure they will roll out a red carpet for you.

We (the sane, responsible citizens of the United States as represented by our government) DO talk to the Chinese about reducing their emissions. The idea, however, that the US should do nothing until China has theirs under control is infantile avoidance. It is the sort of idea one would get from a sixth grader of low intelligence and is a common sentiment among deniers.

true. Not surprising that deniers wouldn't want to lead by example.
