Democrats word of warning

Last nights Republican win was not a mandate for congress to work with the president. Because if it was Republicans would not have won as big as they did.

The worst midterm defeat should tell you that you support failure.

The ACA isn't going anywhere. I hope Obama has plenty of ink for his veto stamp.

His priority should be to make the GOP majority a one term GOP majority
Let him veto everything That's fine People are fed up with democrats, you thought Hillary was a shoe in for 2016? Just let obama place his signature on a lot of veto's see what happens.

Yea, what will the American people support...the 54 bills the teabagger House passed to return health care to an ATM for insurance cartels, or the 191 bills the same teabaggers passed to eviscerate environmental protections?
ATM they support the Republicans because they are fed up with democrat bullshit and failure.

you have a veto-proof congress? :eusa_whistle: :doubt:

commence deceleration :eusa_shhh:

\end thread
Good let obama put his veto on legislation pass by congress. It will show America that obama doesn't want to fix his miss and he'll be an obstructionist. Doesn't really look good for the democrats in 2016. Maybe Hillary can wait on 2020

Thanks that's what I have been saying.

The republicans will defund his amnesty plans. This election is a serious blow to liberalism.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he was going to use an executive order because the congress wouldn't do anything. Tell me what has changed about that. How do you think turtle boy can stop him?
How is Sambo going to fund his amnesty?

Please keep it up with the Sambo remarks. We want the whole world to know what you really are. Off hand, I don't know how any funding for what you call amnesty will be done, but do you really think the president hasn't thought about that?
Keep it up with the Turtle Boy and Teabagger remarks. You have no moral high ground here. I'm not afraid to play your name-calling games,, jackass.

I guess, since I'm a traitor, communist, socialist, taker who wants somebody to give me a free phone, and all the other terms right wingers continually and interchangeably use to describe anyone not brainwashed by rush, I really don't give much credibility to your definition of the moral high ground. Like all teabaggers, you sound like a schoolyard bully who runs crying "Teacher...Teacher....he hit me back and that's not fair."
Lol. You're the one running to the teacher reacting to the Sambo remark. This fascination with the teabagger term by you liberals; is it an outward expression of a fantasy to have a nutsack dipped into your mouth?

To be more accurate, less than a third of Americans even voted, and Repubes got a little more than half of that. Less than 1/6 of the country agreed with teabaggers. I wouldn't call that a mandate of any sort..
"Ladies and gentlemen, watch closely, the hands never leave the wrists..."
You really need to quit fantasizing about men dipping their nutsacks in your gaping yap.
That put down was epic! Libs are going to learn to quit using teabagger.
You think the midterms were a mandate, and you think a childish remark by a teabagger is epic. That's just silly teabagger.
Most people recognize the historic event that took place, they don't need your approval. And yes, droning on and on about nutsacks in your eager yap is unseemly.

No, most people don't know what just took place. A 30 year Republican staff member explains it, but don't feel bad, he mentions you in the article...see "low information voter"

Goodbye to All That Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left the Cult

"Over the last four decades, the Republican Party has transformed from a loyal opposition into an insurrectionary party that flouts the law when it is in the majority and threatens disorder when it is the minority. It is the party of Watergate and Iran-Contra, but also of the government shutdown in 1995 and the impeachment trial of 1999. If there is an earlier American precedent for today's Republican Party, it is the antebellum Southern Democrats of John Calhoun who threatened to nullify, or disregard, federal legislation they objected to and who later led the fight to secede from the union over slavery."

A couple of years ago, a Republican committee staff director told me candidly (and proudly) what the method was to all this obstruction and disruption. Should Republicans succeed in obstructing the Senate from doing its job, it would further lower Congress's generic favorability rating among the American people. By sabotaging the reputation of an institution of government, the party that is programmatically against government would come out the relative winner.

A deeply cynical tactic, to be sure, but a psychologically insightful one that plays on the weaknesses both of the voting public and the news media. There are tens of millions of low-information voters who hardly know which party controls which branch of government, let alone which party is pursuing a particular legislative tactic. These voters' confusion over who did what allows them to form the conclusion that "they are all crooks," and that "government is no good," further leading them to think, "a plague on both your houses" and "the parties are like two kids in a school yard." This ill-informed public cynicism, in its turn, further intensifies the long-term decline in public trust in government that has been taking place since the early 1960s - a distrust that has been stoked by Republican rhetoric at every turn ("Government is the problem," declared Ronald Reagan in 1980).

Sure. among the few who actually voted. You don't think that will be the case in a presidential election with a full turnout do you? Enjoy your two years, This is your chance to shed some of that crazy reputation. I wish you luck, but I fear the crazy is just too strong in the right wing.
All the hysteria, denial and crying is on the left, you're confused. There's never been a full turn out. obama never had the majority of registered voters and had fewer the second time. And he sounds determined to give the GOP a hat trick in 2016, arrogance isn't leadership.

Except that in January when the new rates hit, people will be so pissed at Obama and the democrats that they will be begging for the GOP to do something about it.
yeah you guys keep saying this. When the new rates hit this month, when the new rates hit the next month..It never happens,. because rates are dropping

Delusional.

Link dumbass?

The worst midterm defeat should tell you that you support failure.
The GOP took back some seats....It happens. 2016 could show that the GOP looses all those seats they gained.
It is unwise to gloat because soon enough you will be on the loosing end.

Republicans took more than some seats. They took more than what they originally had in the house and took most of what was up for grab in the Senate. Depending on how Obama acts will depend on how Democrats do in 2016
