Democrats say NO to 1 year extension on payroll tax cut.

nope,, you can't teach me a darn thing. I read that propaganda bullshit from the whi,, it's a feeble attempt to try to ward off what they know is coming in the elections.. so you fail and may try again..

GOP amendments to health-care reconciliation bill fail

Umm, this article has nothing to do with the GOP ideas that DID make the bill, genius wun. Ewe dat weetawded?

it has everything to do with it. it's what happened, it's not the propaganda that ewe and your retarded wh are trying to push.

The 'propaganda' is that Obama didn't reach out and try to include Republicans into policy. He did this much moreso then George W. Bush...who basically locked out Democrats.

:lmao: Cute story. The conspiracy section is below, just sayin

so let me just ask you the question that all the libtards have failed to answer.. If it's this damn GOOd for two months then why isn't a year better? And do you realize how the Good damn two months is gonna be funded?

Because the bill that had a full YEAR in it, was laced with UNRELATED projects, genius.

They just can't grok it... anything that doesn't fit the "DA DEMOCWATS TE BAAAD!" agenda, they just edit out of their reality.

You still haven't told us why twenty thousand American jobs and an extension on the tax break is a bad thing.. but keep trying.

The GOP sent the Senate a clean bill extending the payroll tax cut?

Really?

I like the "don't be stupid" name. Senate Democrats are tying the bill to class envy where workers pay lower payroll tax and a bunch of them get laid off because the money comes from job providers. They didn't pass a clean bill either. Yet in Full Monty hypocrisy, you say this. As for your objective in your user name, that would be a "fail"...

if it's that good, the cowards could put it in its own bill.

Democrats are upset about spending cuts.

That is all we need to know about their intent. THINK EXTREME.

they phear the coming election. Fact is the helathcare bill is SO bad that 28 states are trying to repeal it, it is going before the supreme court, and NOT a SINGLE REPUBLICAN voted for it.. Nay.. the demoncrats had to buy EACH other to get it passed and no one knew what the fuck was in it til they passed it.. from Pelosi's own ass to our ears..

W was far more bi-partisan then Obama. For example the no child gets ahead program, expanding prescription drugs to the Medicare welfare program, blocking meaningful illegal immigration control. Every time he reached his hand out it was bitten, yet he continued to extend it. I don't say that happily, I opposed all those.

But to say that Obama has crossed the aisle ever is just a complete delusion of the Left. That Democrats can't get everything you want, rather then recognizing your socialist ideas are stupid and rejected, you state it like this that Obama somehow could have had them and passed in bipartisanship. He's done zero across the aisle. Obamacare being his crowning glory in forcing his agenda down the throats of us all. Bipartisan, you're tripping.

Well, in all fairness, neither one is a "clean" bill. Still, I stand by what I said about the house repubs being idiots for trying to play it this way at this current time.

How so? Do you think you get calm waters with economics by creating tax policy every 60 days?

someone who has intelligence has pointed out how confusing and expensive it will be for employers to keep up with changes every two months.. but fuck the employers right? they don't count. only obamie's re election counts for shit. certainly not the country.

The republicans are idiots for doing this.

They could have passed the 2 month thing and then really got into it after christmas...spent 2 months letting the public know about tying the pipeline to the extention, then really fought hard from a position of principle.

Instead they come off as playing politics right now.....over 80% of senate REPUBLICANS voted for it.....c'mon now.

There is no good way to spin this for the house...and just so you know I don't think Obama is a good president and think the senate democrats were a giant failure when they had the supermajority so this isn't me backing obama or any bull like that.

Because Obama will NOT sign the bill for a year right now. We might not like it but he IS the President and this is the reality. If they pass the year one now, from a currently weak political position, obama can veto it and still blame the republicans successfully because of the 2 month deal that BOTH parties supported in the senate.

Instead the reps could have passed this then came up with a better, more permanent, solution instead of just another "kick the can down the road" 2 month or 1 year extension. Then spent a month or so explaining it to the people so they could have the support that would put the political pressure on Obama and the congressional dems to pass what the reps actually want to pass. In 2 months november will be a lot closer and Obama will have a lot less room to refuse that type of bill (if he wants to get re-elected anyway)

Thats why ;)

You hit on the dems official position.

Only Government jobs are important, but not the military, there just collateral damage

Get off that "clean bill" bullshit you damn hypocrite.. Do you remember all the bullshit the demoncrats hid in the healthcare bill.. like college loans for instance?? you guys are sickening asswipe hypocrites.

Well they have to have some EXCUSE for the Democrats not wanting to PASS a one year EXTENSION and vote down energy and jobs for us citizens.

If there was something that could guarantee 20k jobs without any consequences, there would be no debate to be had. It would just be done.

But obviously there is a debate going on, and Pubs are trying to bypass the debate process by using something that they should always be in favor of to begin with (A TAX CUT!) as a bargaining chip, and feeling they are owed something in return.

So who's blocking the extension? Dems? I don't think so. Send them a clean bill and it's law tomorrow. Debate the pipeline on its own merits.

Creating jobs would get people independent again and not having to rely on government. That is not what the Dems want and they just proved it by refusing the payroll tax cut because the bill contained - gasp - something that would get people back to work.

Agreed: The Keystone pipeline--Obama threatened to veto if it was in the bill--well it was--and the 2 month extension they want--is so they can bring up class warfare in a couple of months again. REAL PRIVATE sector job growth is the enemy of this administrations agenda.

You're retarded. Both of you.

A sharp drop in UE would guarantee his re-election. How by any metric would that not be in his best interests?

Your thread title is disingenuous. Pubs shouldn't need to use this as a bargaining chip. They should be in favor of a tax cut to begin with.

Not if it only last two months they shouldn't. That is a meaningless amount of time in the business world and symbolic at best so dems can claim their for lowering taxes.

it's been studied for three years. I doubt a thousand more is needed. What is needed are the Jobs, the oil and the reduction of our dependence on arab oil.

and again.. I am against this tax cut no matter who is for it.. it's robbing from the workers that in years to come will be looking for social security and it won't be there. it's just high handed theft.

With that tax cut comes a) additional spending and b) the banning of the pipe line..

Democrats are just being the bitches they are, and are playing games..

Of course you're against this tax cut. It benefits working middle class americans. It doesn't benefit you since you don't work.

Now let's see why you don't like it.....

it's robbing from the workers that in years to come will be looking for social security and it won't be there.

Oh it's taking from SS, which you are on.

Funny how your opinion flips when the policies directly impact you.

So now according to you tax cuts are bad, and government entitlement programs are good. The reason.....because that's what directly benefits Willow. :eusa_clap:
