Hey, letting dipshit know the Republican ideas inside of the bill, as she had asked, is not the same as cosigning the entire bill, personally.

GOP amendments to health-care reconciliation bill fail

Umm, this article has nothing to do with the GOP ideas that DID make the bill, genius wun. Ewe dat weetawded?

As we have witnessed--congress doesn't work anymore. The GOP house--agreed with Barack Obama and passed a one year extension for the payroll tax cut last week. After it passed they sent it to the Democrat lead senate and they sent it back with only a two month extension.

Of course Obama is out there blaming Republicans for doing what he asked them to do--and now we're back to gridlock. So what is it--that DEMOCRATS do not like about a one year payroll tax cut extension? Why do they only want a two month extension?

And why is it that Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid has already left for his Christmas break--along with many other democrats in the Senate--while the GOP house has conference members still in Washington D.C. willing to work out a compromise with senate Democrats?

Any guess's as to what they're up too?

cartoon.reiddinghy.sf.jpg

The republicans are idiots for doing this.

They could have passed the 2 month thing and then really got into it after christmas...spent 2 months letting the public know about tying the pipeline to the extention, then really fought hard from a position of principle.

Instead they come off as playing politics right now.....over 80% of senate REPUBLICANS voted for it.....c'mon now.

There is no good way to spin this for the house...and just so you know I don't think Obama is a good president and think the senate democrats were a giant failure when they had the supermajority so this isn't me backing obama or any bull like that.

I'll explain it in moron terms:

you asked for GOP stuff that was inside the healthcare bill.

i gave it to you

you then posted an article stating the gop things that DIDNT make the bill, as if it negated the ones that did.

why are you this stupid? ask your caretakers what meds you're on, and their side-effects.

Because Obama will NOT sign the bill for a year right now. We might not like it but he IS the President and this is the reality. If they pass the year one now, from a currently weak political position, obama can veto it and still blame the republicans successfully because of the 2 month deal that BOTH parties supported in the senate.

Instead the reps could have passed this then came up with a better, more permanent, solution instead of just another "kick the can down the road" 2 month or 1 year extension. Then spent a month or so explaining it to the people so they could have the support that would put the political pressure on Obama and the congressional dems to pass what the reps actually want to pass. In 2 months november will be a lot closer and Obama will have a lot less room to refuse that type of bill (if he wants to get re-elected anyway)
