I don't think that this is any kind of grand conspiracy by Democrats to interfere with the GOP nominee. I think there are plenty of good reasons for reasonably minded Democrats to be disenfranchised with Obama. He's certainly continued many Bush era policies, and failed to deliver on several promised changes. Gitmo isn't being closed. Government transparency isn't what we would have hoped for based on Obama's campaign talk. I think that many Democrats were hoping for an earlier withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq. And on that front especially, those disenfranchised voters are hearing their tune being sung by Paul. There's no need to attribute this to malice. It makes perfect sense and is a result of Obama's failure to deliver on certain areas.
