It's pretty clear that the only thing Obama likes more than killing the US Space Program and permanent unemployment for a large section of the population would be to run against Newt in 2012.

Obama's got a war chest of $1 billion to run the most negative, nastiest campaign in American history (ironically, $1billion is about the amount that the financial architect of the Failed Stimulus, Jon Corzine, apparently took from his clients).

That's how we got Juan McCain as candidate in 08.

It's important that you, the real Americans, participate in the primary and not let Progressives pick our candidate for us again

Oh I think REAL Americans are going to vote in the GOP primary this year. But you're right the LIBERALS took over the Democrat primary in 2008 and managed to kick the best candidate (Hillary Clinton) to the curb to elect an economic moron.

Is that how you saw it? I saw America reject anyone who had voted for the Iraq invasion.

Then they need to consolidate the dates of each States primary. By the time it reaches here its usually over.

Democrat consultant Pat Caddel (Carter) and Democrat pollster and consultant Doug Schoen asked Obama to do the right thing and step aside to allow HRC to run as Democrat candidate. Schoen also said the two if them are considering making a public call for a Democrat primary leading up to the convention. Maybe we'll get a smoke filled room.

“He should abandon his candidacy for re-election in favor of a clear alternative, one capable not only of saving the Democratic Party, but more important, of governing effectively and in a way that preserves the most important of the president’s accomplishments. He should step aside for the one candidate who would become, by acclamation, the nominee of the Democratic Party: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,”Caddell and Schoen wrote.

Caddell, who worked as a pollster for President Jimmy Carter, and Schoen, who was a pollster for President Bill Clinton, argue that Obama will inevitably have to run a negative campaign in order to win reelection, the negative consequences of which will make it difficult for him to govern effectively.

“One year ago in these pages, we warned that if President Obama continued down his overly partisan road, the nation would be ‘guaranteed two years of political gridlock at a time when we can ill afford it.’ The result has been exactly as we predicted: stalemate in Washington, fights over the debt ceiling, an inability to tackle the debt and deficit, and paralysis exacerbating market turmoil and economic decline,” they write.

Caddell and Schoen say they write as “patriots and Democrats” who are concerned for their country, and they do not expect to play a direct role in any possible Clinton campaign.

This is one reason why every state should have CLOSED Primaries. In Illinois you are REQUIRED to declare your party when voting in a Primary election. Once you do that you are AUTOMATICALLY a member of that state political party for the next two years.

The Obama administration wants to run against Romney. They're stupid for it. Romney would have the best chance of defeating Obama because he has the most appeal to independent and Democratic swing voters. But Obama wants Romney. Perhaps more savvy individuals prefer to see Newt win the nomination. This is probably the most preferable option for those who support Obama. Newt is the safest bet. He's not likely to be elected in the GE, but in case he his he won't be horrible at the job. By contrast, Perry is a bit less likely to be elected in a GE, but he'd be much less capable than Newt at the job.

Y'all realize there haven't been any Republican primaries yet, right?

Newt cant get elected to national office and neither can Mitt.

Face it guys your going to lose this one.

Democrates and Republican know Newt is a typical Washington politician and will say anything he believe the people want to hear. Even pandering to Hispanice with dangling amnesty before them.
2012 is piece of cake for Obama.

Well... In my state... Dems aren't allowed to vote in GOP Primaries. We walk into the polling place, announce your name and they hand you a ballot according to the party indicated on the Voter registration rolls.
