Democrats are Leaving Party to Vote Ron Paul

He's the conscience of the Republican Party. And that's why most Neocons just want him to go away. They want to be free to be dishonest with the voters and pretend to be Conservatives with no opposition. Only Ron Paul stands in their way. The Republican Party has been Democrat-Light for too many years. It's time to get back to real Conservative values. And i'm real happy to see some Democrats joining the Ron Paul Revolution. Everyone is welcome.

I see democrats voting for Paul the same as how we got stuck with McCain. Truth is I don't really like any of the choices being presented to us. But nearly any of them will be better than what we have.

Neocons are Big Government Globalists just as the Socialists/Progressives are. The differences between the two are only minute. And McCain is a Neocon for sure. He's nothing like Ron Paul. But i hear ya. I would like to see a change and get the Socialists/Progressives out of there too. But i want to see real change. And i think Ron Paul is that real change. But i do repect your opinion. I really do.

The wiki page is a decent overview of the term, it's history and development, etc. The current batch mostly come out of the Straussian school of thought. In general, it's a political philosophy that embraces nation-building, social engineering and a twisted version of American exceptionalism that sets us on a mission to push our values on the rest of the world - by force if necessary. Essentially they're 'big government' conservatives with a distinct distaste for individual liberty.

Ron Paul is a nut job. Let him die.

Yes, Ron Paul back in 2002 & 2003 (and even before then) predicting every relevant issue facing Americans today is CRAZY. Don't want to vote for a visionary leader with wisdom and foresight because that would be CRAZY

At any rate, I won't vote for Paul, regardless of what you think I believe and why.

Maybe I should run....

Without looking at these two, he predicted what was coming? Did he provide solutions as well? If not, why is he keeping solutions to himself?

I think I would write in my own name before I voted for Ron Paul. And I would really suck at it....

I'd write in your name before I'd vote for Ron Paul and you couldn't suck near as bad as he does.

Heck, I'd write in my dog's name and I KNOW he'd do damn good job.

Lucky for my dog (and you) President Obama is running.

You aren't a big fan of learning, are you?

Yea but he's the "Crazy" one. It's actually the Neocons & Socialists/Progressives who are crazy. The man was spot-on with everything. But they just wouldn't listen. And they still aren't listening. But i think more are beginning to. I am encouraged. And now they better start thinking about what he said about the Dollar.

OK, so at least we see where Paul's support comes from: People who don't want a real Republican to win. That settles that.
Moderator: "Gov. Perry, what's your favorite Beatles song?"

Gov. Perry: "Uh, that would be Here, There and uh.... Um.... I don't know the third one. Oops!"

Dr Paul, do you oppose North Korea bombing the shit out of South Korea?
No, I think total nuclear annhilation is a reasonable alternative for any other country.
Why would the North bomb the South? They have a joint manufacturing facility set up in the North that employs 40,000 norks. It's probably the only reason they don't all starve to death.

Why would they go and fuck that all up?

Okay you've made me curious. What is it about Rick Perry that you feel makes him a "real Republican"? I mean, I saw a LOT of Republicans and Conservatives really disliking him for a while there. They seemed to know exactly why and (other than that thing on immigration) I don't really recall what they were upset with the guy about. (coyote enthusiasts perhaps?).

I haven't heard squat from him or about him in weeks. WTF? Where'd he go? Oh, and why is he a "real Republican"?

BTW, I have a love / hate relationship with Ron Paul. I freekin' love about half of what he says. The other half seems pretty whack to me. Some of his fans are kinda, well, you know. But then again some of everyone's fans are, I suppose. They just seem better at it.

You have just described 2 or 3 people on this forum, at the very most......

Perhaps. But I think it describes the dominant policy of the Republican party pretty accurately.
