Democratic Party set to include Michael Bloomberg in debates

Now it's time to sit back and watch the dims destroy Bernie with the help of their media allies and piss off his supporters.

It's complete bullshit honestly. How many candidates did the DNC refuse to allow to participate without reaching a threshold of poll votes and minimum raised from individual donors. Now those candidates have essentially been forced out and this guy just waltzes in without having met ANY of the previous requirements.

CORRUPT & RIGGED

I guess Tulsi did not have enough cash to buy her way in
It is really how frustratingly little say so the public has when it comes to narrowing down the field.
Also irritates me that primaries are staggered like they are. Makes my vote count far less than someone who voted a month before me. People drop out before a majority even get to vote.

All primaries should be held on the same day in July,
That would be awesome but it will likely never be an option. It would require both parties to relinquish a lot of power over the process and give it to the voters.

It will be interesting to see how the anti billionaire candidates go after the billionaire candidate. It will also be interesting to see how much Bloomberg’s business dealings are looked at.
He's already ordered his own news empire to NOT do ANY investigative journalism pieces about him.

Bloomberg News will not investigate Mike Bloomberg or his Democratic rivals during primary
I’m hoping the rest of the media does not follow along but it wouldn’t shock me if they did.

Doomberg is the Lori Loughlin of the DNC.

There are two separate criteria a candidate must meet in order to participate in upcoming Democratic primary debates. One requires candidates to meet a certain threshold in recent polls. The current threshold is ten percent. The other criteria is that the candidate must have a certain number of individual donors to his campaign. The latter was a threshold that Mike Bloomberg’s self-funded campaign could never meet. But today the DNC has revised the criteria and eliminated the donor threshold.

The Sanders campaign expressed bewilderment with the DNC’s decision:

“To now change the rules in the middle of the game to accommodate Mike Bloomberg, who is trying to buy his way into the Democratic nomination, is wrong,” Jeff Weaver, a senior adviser to Sanders, told POLITICO as the rules were being announced…

“Now, suddenly because Mr. Bloomberg couldn’t satisfy one of the prongs, we see it get changed?” Weaver said. “That’s the definition of a rigged system where the rich can buy their way in.”

Quite a few people pointing out that the DNC had previously been firm about not changing the rules, but suddenly it seems they are flexible.

How is Bloomberg getting this special treatment you ask? The same way he’s getting a national campaign. He’s buying it.

Just before jumping into the race, @MikeBloomberg gave $325,000 to the DNC, on top of the gobs he spent on ads this month.

With Bernie surging past Biden in some national polls, the Insiders really are getting nervous. They think nominating Sanders would set up a train wreck in November.

And remember, these smart folks shafted Hillary last time because she was a "shoe in" for a "landslide".

It's rigged.

The Sanders or AOC-led socialist party, let's call them the Bolivarians because of Bernie’s high-esteem for the likes of Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega, and other Latin American autarchs only slightly less ruthless than El Ché. They may call themselves democratic socialists but then most socialists did at the beginning.

The Bolivarians are up against the old guard Democratic Party who are teamed with the NeverTrumpers (Bill Kristol), the Deep Staters.

The Deep Staters are in a panic because they are being outstripped by the Bolivarians and The Trumpeteers.

The Deep Staters want the status quo ante, rich and powerful people getting even more rich and powerful while pretending they are fighting for the common man and woman and minorities and the disabled and LGBTQ and on and on.

The Bolivarians know better. They’ve heard this song before, particularly in 2016.

The Deep Staters know they have to change horses. Joe Biden is flawed in the extreme. Biden is on the near side of senility and the far, far side of corruption, and everyone is learning that.

Enter Michael Bloomberg, who from the perspective of the Bolivarians has far more in common with Trump than he does with Bernie.

The DNC has already changed the rules for Bloomberg to get him on the debate. If that's not enough, they will reinstate the power of the super delegates at their convention to block Bernie and install Bloomberg.

Bernie, for the Deep Staters, is a bigger problem than Trump. He could cause America’s oldest political party to split into two.

I think the Good Lord has a wicked sense of humor. The Stalinists rail against rich, old, white billionaires - and one just bought the nomination
