There have been calls for this republican to be dismissed by his own party.

Ken Braun Dave Agema s white supremacist New Year MLive.com

In a New Years’ Eve posting on his infamous Facebook page, disgraced Michigan GOP national committeeman Dave Agema reprinted an essay about African-Americans. Either Agema or somebody he is quoting endorses it as “very interesting” and “very enlightening” for “anyone concerned about crime in America.” The essay - since taken down by Agema - is copied from the May 9 edition of American Renaissance, a white supremacist magazine.

While more grammatically precise than most racist screeds, it is racist all the same. Wrapping up his thoughts, the author - allegedly an experienced defense attorney - says the following:

“However, my experience has also taught me that blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people. They cannot reason as well. They cannot communicate as well. They cannot control their impulses as well. They are a threat to all who cross their paths, black and non-black alike.”

This is preceded by three pages of gross stereotyping. White felony defendants and their families are portrayed as better behaved, dressing more appropriately, and deferential to their lawyers; while black defendants are ill behaved, ill dressed and less intelligent. Black “bad guys” are supposedly far worse than “white” bad guys.

Agema’s holidays are apparently the season for hateful reading. Just days before Easter 2013, he repeated the malicious anti-gay ravings of a Ku Klux Klan leader. In the week followingNew Years Day 2014, he stumbled upon an essay declaring no Muslim had ever contributed anything positive to America, passing it along as “eye opening.”

I would love to be able to dismiss the racist wing of the GOP just as I would like to dismiss the socialist wing of the Dems. How do rational peeps go about the biz of dismissing flaming loons?

I think the track record of black people versus the track record of white people confirms Mr. Agema's logic. The white people are INFERIOR as a race in most athletic endeavors, soul and other varieties of black music (the Rap shit). Other than that white people are generally SUPERIOR in almost all other endeavors, including the ability to learn.

RNC censures Agema calls for resignation WOODTV.com

By 24 Hour News 8 web staffPublished: January 14, 2015, 8:39 pm

UNDATED (WOOD) — The Republican National Committee has issued a condemnation of an embattled member from West Michigan and demanded his resignation.

Dave Agema, a former state representative from Grandville who is now represents Michigan in the RNC, has been was under fire for posting an article from a white supremacist magazine to his Facebook page. It’s the most recent incident that has drawn national criticism.

Agema was formally censured Wednesday, according to a release from RNC Chairman Reince Priebus of Wisconsin. In addition, the RNC demanded that Agema vacate his position.

The RNC can’t dismiss Agema outright. It urged the Michigan Republic Party to “explore disciplinary options.”

MRP Chair Bobby Schostak, who is an RNC executive committee member, released a statement supporting the RNC’s censure of Agema and hoping that he would step down voluntarily.

I think someone reposted the article in question on this very board and tried to argue for its veracity.

Not surprising as the GOP has the likes of Duke, Scalise, and now Agema .. all outspoken white supremacists.
