There are growing fears that one of Victoria’s worst sex offenders is stalking multiple female doctors after the convicted rapist alleged sneaked away from his supervised facility.
After evading authorities at the Corella Place sex offender facility near Ararat - dubbed the Village of the Damned - the 40-year-old man has reportedly travelled to Melbourne demanding to see only female doctors at several practices.
Police and the Australian Medical Association said he has lied about his record to attend one-on-one private consultations with female GPs.
Orders prevent authorities from being able to reveal the man’s identity, meaning the AMA cannot reveal his identity to doctors so they can stop future bookings.
AMA Victoria president Lorraine Baker said despite his criminal history, police are “limited in their powers”.
