I think they have a chance with the new series. I thought they did a good job last night! I liked the story threads they set up.

Me!! A and I watched all three episodes while I was at my sister's. It is MUCH more fast-moving than the original.

I did not watch the original but I am watching this one. What happened that we have to resurrect old ideas and even older actors to breathe life into television? Can the Ed Sullivan show be far behind?

Dallas is pretty good, mostly because the old guys are stellar in recycled roles with recycled ideas.

My sister said Larry Hagman is too old for the part. I said corrupt is corrupt, and nobody does it better than Larry Hagman.

Oh, me too. I know they halted filming for a time - I hope it was just a blip.

The cast filmed "Dallas" last year, while Hagman underwent treatment for throat cancer. He also changed his diet to become a vegan. The magazine Texas Monthly reported in its June 2012 issue that the actor's disease is now in remission.

In addition to his own health battle, Hagman has been taking care of his wife of some 58 years, Swedish-born Maj Axelsson, who suffers from Alzheimer's diseass and requires 24-hour nursing care. The couple has two children.

Larry is 81, Patrick is 63.
