There was a Marxist professor and peace and justice activist teaching history at a local college who always received accolades from students whether capitalist or conservative, liberals or socialist or whatever their beliefs were. He taught them to be able to defend their views regardless.

So it depends on the teacher if their beliefs conflict with their ability to teach students the subject matter and to treat them all fairly and effectively under school policy and standards.

With this teacher, who knows if she was able to teach effectively and without bias or prejudice or coercing the students in any negative unfair way.

If I were a parent or staff admin, I'd be more careful not to take risks like this with
younger students. With college students who know what they are signing up for,
that's different.
