<p>HOUSTON, Texas – Supporters of Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign have already raised more than $51 million, giving Cruz one of the strongest war chests among those running for president.</p>< p>In just over 3 months, the campaign has raised more than $14.2 million from over 175,000 contributions, with an average contribution of $81. In the second quarter alone, the Cruz campaign raised roughly $10 million, which added on top of the record-breaking $4.3 million haul in the one week preceding Q2.</p>
