Don't any of these fighters have jobs so that they can support their families? Don't any of the younger ones go to school? I guess it is true that they think Syria is the stepping stone for the new worldwide Caliphate.

Another group of insurgents fighting in Syria has aroused the attention of Uzbek security forces seeking to protect their country from a spill-over of Islamic extremism.

Militants from Central Asia, Chechnya and Dagestan make up the group’s core.

“According to our information, Jamaat Sabiri today is a unit about 80-strong, with most fighters coming from the Central Asian countries … as well as from Dagestan and the Chechen Republic,” an Uzbek National Security Service (SNB) analyst, who spoke on terms of anonymity, said, adding that most are being trained in terrorist camps in the North Caucasus.
