The pundits are declaring Bernie unstoppable.

In 1968, Humphrey won the nomination but he never won a primary in any state.

The Democratic Party self destructed. Their Bernie (mcGovern) opted not to vote. Johnson had dropped out & Robert Kennedy killed.

We got Nixon. That worked out well.

It mirror's trumps election, people were fed up with what we've had on the right and this is now happening on the left. The dem established better wake up and either follow the revolution as did the right in 2016 or get lost.

No, but what you see in 2024 will make you beg for 1968.

So how about a few 2024 predictions?

It'll be a full Socialist/Marxist/coming out party for the libs at their convention.

So if Bernie loses in 2020 the dems will double-down on Socialism in 2024?
You may be right, but IMHO the US is not going to elect socialists except in socialist states like CA & NY.

I hope Im wrong.

I'm blanking on the difference. One begets the other.
Now we have the "safety net" for those unable to work. Welfare and food stamps.
Socialism would tax the crap out of the rich to re-distribute the wealth "more equitably".
The government would control almost everything like in China, access to healthcare, access to higher education, access to high paying government jobs. Party loyalty is valued over anything else. Not my kind of utopia.

Nixon was a great President compared to any of the Democrat scum. He won reelection in 1972 by one of the greatest landslides in America history. We got that worthless incompetent dumbshit Carter because of Watergate. That worked out well.

1968 was the first time I voted for President. I did it absentee ballot while in Vietnam.

I voted for George Wallace. His wife was a family friend and besides, I wanted to say "fuck you" to all the militant Negroes.
