cottage pudding cake....simple and fast

butter and flour a small cake pan....i use a domed bowl....
preheat oven to 400 degrees

mix: a stick of melted butter
1 1/2 cups of self rising flour
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg

now you can pour this into a bowl and bake for 25 minutes or you can add stuff.....a cup of chocolate chips or make an upside down cake with it.....its in fanny farmer for those who read that....

i make a glaze of whip cream and chocolate chips...melt in microwave and cool...the pour over the cake...that is why i use a domed bowl..

takes about 5 minutes to mix and then 25 minutes to bake...cool in pan for about 10 minutes and then release the cake ....i wait for a little while before glazing....if the cake is too warm the glazed wont stay put

i shouldnt eat it...but you can make it with a apple topping ......and it only has 1/2 cup of sugar..


< just gonna ignore that stick of butter....
